Abstract
The integrating project starts from the need to adapt a tool to plan the demand for
products in the Tapitex company, evaluating two inventory control methods "RAM vs
Forecasts". The study begins with the description and evaluation of the current
situation of the company and the processes involved. Next, the analysis of the methods
is developed: by Forecast, based on historical demand and by Activated Market
Replenishment "RAM", based on deterministic demand. Additionally, the analysis using
the Economic Quantity of Purchases Model "EOQ". Finally, the proposal of the new
demand planning process based on the method selected for the company and an
action plan supported by the use of information technology to achieve the automation
of the project
Resumen
El proyecto integrador parte de la necesidad de adaptar una herramienta para
planificar la demanda de productos en la empresa Tapitex, evaluando dos métodos de
control de inventario “RAM vs Pronósticos”. El estudio inicia con la descripción y
evaluación de la situación actual de la empresa y los procesos involucrados. A
continuación, se desarrolla el análisis de los métodos: por Pronóstico, basado en la
demanda histórica y por Reposición Activada de Mercado “RAM”, basado en la
demanda determinística. Adicional, el análisis mediante el Modelo de Cantidad
Económica de Compras “EOQ”. Finalmente, la propuesta del nuevo proceso de
planificación de la demanda basado en el método selecto para la empresa y un plan
de acción apoyado en el uso de la tecnología de la información para lograr la
automatización del proyecto
