Información y actitudes que tienen las estudiantes de 5to y 6to curso del Colegio Abelardo Tamariz Crespo sobre el virus papiloma humano durante el periódo octubre–marzo.Cuenca 2016

Abstract

Background: studies on HPV worldwide are estimated that the global annual incidence of this disease is more than 500 000 cases, about 50% of them fatal. Taking place deaths by 80% in developing countries.

Objective: determine the information and attitudes that students have the 5th and 6th course College Abelardo Tamariz Crespo on human papillomavirus during the period from October to March 2016.

Methodology: The research was quantified, descriptive and transversal, the same as was done in the educational unit Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, the universe of study is a total of 50 students and as an instrument used for data collection was a survey the students. Results are expressed through quantitative statistics, using SPSS and Microsoft Excel.

Results: In the investigation it was found that of the 50 students, 14% always have coital sex, 86% know the means of transmission and 40% use the male condom either as contraception and / or barrier means .

Conclusion: adolescent College Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, he has an average knowledge about Human Papillomavirus, their ways of contagion and methods to prevent it, so it is important to integrate more topics of sex education, more training for teachers so that they in turn can address the issue without difficulty, without creating cultural stereotypes, social, or religious
