dc.descriptionEl marianismo alude a la idealización del papel de la mujer en la sociedad latinoamericana, este concepto sostiene que las mujeres poseen una naturaleza semidivina, siendo moral y espiritualmente superiores a los hombres, no obstante, esta perspectiva se traduce en la construcción de roles y estereotipos de género que pueden restringir la autonomía de la mujer. El presente estudio fue desarrollado en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Cuenca el periodo académico septiembre de 2023 y febrero de 2024, con el fin de describir las creencias marianistas según las características sociodemográficas de las mujeres jóvenes de dicha Facultad. La investigación se efectuó un enfoque cuantitativo y descriptivo, a través de la Escala de Creencias Marianistas de Castillo, con la que fue posible recopilar datos de la muestra de 198 estudiantes mujeres seleccionadas aleatoriamente. Finalmente, el análisis estadístico descriptivo reveló una afinidad hacia las creencias marianistas, especialmente en el ámbito familiar, sin distinción sociodemográfica.en_US
dc.description.abstractMarianismo refers to the idealization of the role of women in Latin American society. This concept asserts that women possess a semi-divine nature, being morally and spiritually superior to men. However, this perspective translates into the construction of gender roles and stereotypes that can restrict women's autonomy. The present study was conducted at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Cuenca during the academic period from September 2023 to February 2024. Its purpose was to describe Marianist beliefs based on the socio-demographic characteristics of young women in that faculty. A quantitative and descriptive approach was employed using the Castillo Marianist Beliefs Scale, through which data was collected from a randomly selected sample of 198 female students. Ultimately, the descriptive statistical analysis revealed an affinity toward Marianist beliefs, particularly in the family sphere, without sociodemographic distinctions.en_US
