Intervención interiorista y micro-paisaje en el “Centro Geriátrico Los Jardines” (Cuenca - Ecuador)

Abstract

Research framed in the improvement of the geriatric environment, with a particular focus on the "Los Jardines" geriatric center, represents a fundamental commitment to the well-being and quality of life of the gerontological population. The first chapter addresses the definition of the geriatric center and categorizes the types of disabilities associated with this population. A detailed analysis of comfort in these environments, breaking down acoustic, thermal, lighting, ergonomic factors, appropriate furniture, chromatic and sensory aspects, along with the exploration of the relationship between the geriatric center and universal design. Additionally, the concept of micro landscape and its impact on the interaction between the elderly and their environment is introduced. The second chapter delves into the collection of information on the current state of the space to be intervened, addressing background, location, location as well as planimetry, photographic survey, diagnostic tables, identification of regulatory problems and needs table, culminating with functional and formal counterparts. . . Finally, the third chapter presents an improved interior design proposal, which is based on a briefing to guide the ideation, conceptualization, moodboard, sketches and planimetry of the proposal.
