dc.descriptionEn la ciudad de Gualaceo no se cuenta con un tratamiento de aguas residuales, estas tienen descarga directa al río Santa Bárbara. Las afecciones causadas por esta descarga implican directamente en los usos del agua del río Santa Bárbara, ya no es común que los habitantes de la ciudad realicen actividades recreativas y de pesca en esta zona y a esto se suma el efecto que tiene en la salud pública el vertido de aguas residuales sin ningún tipo de tratamiento. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar las aguas residuales en la descarga de Curantag, así como también plantear líneas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, a fin de analizar y comparar las mismas en función de criterios técnicos, económicos y sociales para realizar un pre dimensionamiento de las mejores alternativas. La Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable, Alcantarillado y Saneamiento de Gualaceo (EMAPAS G EP), en el año 2016 adquirió un terreno en el lugar de descarga, en donde se pretende implantar la PTAR, por lo que se realiza un pre dimensionamiento tanto de tratamiento preliminar; tratamiento primario; lodos activados convencionales y sistema de lagunas; así como también desinfección con cloro y rayos UV.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe city of Gualaceo does not have wastewater treatment; wastewater is discharged directly into the Santa Bárbara River. The effects caused by this discharge directly affect the water uses of the Santa Bárbara River; it is no longer common for the city's inhabitants to carry out recreational and fishing activities in this area, and in addition to this, the discharge of wastewater without any type of treatment has an effect on public health. The purpose of this work is to characterize the wastewater in the Curantag discharge, as well as to propose wastewater treatment lines, in order to analyze and compare them according to technical, economic and social criteria for a pre-dimensioning of the best alternatives. The Municipal Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Company of Gualaceo (EMAPAS G EP), in 2016 acquired land at the discharge site, in order to implement the SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. Therefore, a pre-sizing of both preliminary treatment; primary treatment; conventional activated sludge and lagoon system; as well as disinfection with chlorine and UV rays is performed.en_US
