Abstract
General Objective
Evaluating and intervening in the graphomotor skills at children in the second year of Basic Education from Institute “Octavio Cordero Palacios” of the city of Cuenca.
Metodology
It was performed a quantitative study, quasi-experimental. The population was 60 children in the second year of Basic Education from Institute “Octavio Cordero Palacios” during the period September 2015 - January 2016. This study was performed through application of a pre - caps using the Test of Pascual as assessment instrument to know the level of graphomotor maturity in children then is applied an intervention based on gross motor exercises, segmental independence and fine motor skills; finally a post - caps was applied using again the Test of Pascual to check if the intervention improved the level of graphomotor maturation in children.
Use of results
The obtained results allow us to know the graphomotor maturity of children; From these results we perform an intervention. With the obtained results of the post-caps was proved our hypothesis. With the obtained results we make a comparison between the pre-caps whose average was 15.33 and the average post-caps that was: 11.18; obtaining a significance of .000; demonstrating that thanks to our intervention the graphomotor skills of children of the institution improved and also we check our hypothesis

Objetivo general
Evaluar e intervenir en la grafomotricidad de los niños y niñas del segundo año de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa “Octavio Cordero Palacios” de la ciudad de Cuenca.
Metodología
Se realizó un estudio de tipo cuantitativo, cuasi-experimental. La población fue de 60 niños y niñas del segundo año de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa “Octavio Cordero Palacios” de la ciudad de Cuenca durante el periodo septiembre 2015 – enero 2016. Este estudio se realizó mediante la aplicación de un pre-caps utilizando como instrumento de evaluación el Test de Pascual para conocer el nivel de madurez grafomotriz en los niños y niñas, posteriormente se les aplico una intervención basada en ejercicios de motricidad gruesa, de independencia segmentaria y de motricidad fina; y finalmente se aplicó un post-caps utilizando nuevamente el Test de Pascual para verificar si la intervención mejoró el nivel de maduración grafomotriz en los niños y niñas.
Uso de los resultados
Los resultados obtenidos en el pre-caps nos permitieron conocer la madurez grafomotriz de los niños y niñas; a partir de estos resultados realizamos una intervención, luego de la misma se procedió a aplicar un post-caps. Con los resultados obtenidos realizamos una comparación entre el pre-caps cuya media fue de 15.33 y la media del post-caps que fue de: 11.18; obteniendo una significancia del 0.000; demostrando así que gracias a nuestra intervención si mejoro la grafomotricidad de los niños y niñas de la institución y también comprobamos nuestra hipótesis
