Abstract

Although 95% of young people have heard about the female condom, only 15% have ever used it. In relation to the knowledge about the feminine condom, 49% say having heard a lot or something of the subject and 43.8% claims to have seen it without significant differences. A 98.8% of sexually actives indicate that they have never used it. Among the reasons attributed to the non-use of this method of contraception highlight the discomfort, ignorance of the subject, preference for another method of contraception and the fear that fails. As for the availability to prove it, 57% of the sexually non-active and 62% of the assets sexually claim to agree. Objective: to identify knowledge and attitudes about the use of female condom students of Fausto Molina School. Materials and methods: it is quantitatively descriptive observational with a cross-sectional design, and will be developed with the number of students obtained through the Fisher formula. To obtain the data a questionnaire based on the questionnaire of the thesis "Knowledge on the contraceptive methods in last year students of the medical career in the Roosevelt Hospital" will be used.
