Evaluación del programa de mantenimiento preventivo de alumbrado público del cantón Cuenca de la Empresa Regional Centro Sur C.A.

Abstract

The maintenance is the set of all those works, scheduled or occasional to allow preserving the good operation of a facility and its benefits, within the limits that are considered as convenient in the project phase. Traditionally maintenance has been divided into five (5) types, each with their own characteristics that differentiate them from the others, these types are Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Maintenance Zero Hours and Maintenance in use, with Preventive Maintenance being focused to the system of Public Lighting of the Cuenca canton the center of study and analysis of the present work. The Central Electric Company CENTROSUR CA is responsible for providing the public lighting service to the Cuenca canton and therefore, is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the same, therefore the CENTROSUR, has a Department of Lighting, which is in charge of the periodical review and repair of the devices involved in such a system, these tasks are carried out under a corrective and preventive maintenance plan, being necessary to analyze it and determine possible actions that allow a continuous improvement. The present work starts with the analysis of the indicators and considerations that must be taken for a good maintenance management, to then describe its organization and hierarchical levels, culminating with the evaluation of the preventive maintenance of the public lighting system in the Cuenca canton based on national and international recommendations.
