Abstract
The Tanlagua Tourist Hacienda House, located in the San Antonio de Pichincha parish in the city of Quito, is a heritage building with significant historical, architectural, and cultural value. However, it presents functional and spatial limitations that hinder its adaptation to the current needs of tourist accommodation. Therefore, the objective of this proposal was to develop an interior design for a tourist and lodging space, based on an analysis of the cultural heritage, current regulations, and a diagnostic assessment of the building, in order to preserve its historical identity and improve the living conditions and comfort for users. Through a theoretical analysis of the cultural heritage, the tourist haciendas of the Andes, and considering functional and formal references, it was possible to define interior design criteria focused on environmental comfort, ergonomics, tourist functionality, and respect for the existing architectural morphology. The proposal was materialized through floor plans, zoning, construction details, digital visualizations, and a reference budget. In conclusion, the interior design proposal for Hacienda Tanlagua integrates functional, aesthetic and heritage aspects, achieving spaces consistent with the historical memory of the place and adapted to the requirements of a contemporary tourist accommodation, contributing to the preservation and enhancement of the architectural heritage.
Resumen
La Casa Hacienda Turística Tanlagua, ubicada en la parroquia San Antonio de Pichincha en la ciudad de Quito, es una edificación patrimonial que posee un alto valor histórico, arquitectónico y cultural. Sin embargo, presenta limitaciones funcionales y espaciales que dificultan su adaptación a las actuales necesidades de un alojamiento turístico. Por lo cual, el objetivo de esta propuesta fue desarrollar un diseño interior para un espacio turístico y de hospedaje, basado en el análisis del patrimonio cultural, la normativa vigente y el diagnóstico del inmueble, con el fin de conservar su identidad histórica y mejorar las condiciones de habitabilidad y confort para los usuarios. Con el análisis teórico del patrimonio cultural, las haciendas turísticas serranas y considerando referentes funcionales y formales, permitió definir criterios de diseño interior orientados al confort ambiental, la ergonomía, la funcionalidad turística y el respeto a la morfología arquitectónica existente. La propuesta se materializó mediante planimetrías, zonificación, detalles constructivos, visualizaciones digitales y un presupuesto referencial. En conclusión, la propuesta de diseño interior para la Hacienda Tanlagua integra aspectos funcionales, estéticos y patrimoniales, logrando espacios coherentes con la memoria histórica del lugar y adaptados a los requerimientos de un alojamiento turístico contemporáneo, contribuyendo a la preservación y puesta en valor del patrimonio arquitectónico.
