Abstract
The identity and humanity of the bus driver is sometimes not recognized or identified, creating a vital journey laden with absences and personal questions about value, transforming the being into an entity destined to produce, leaving their life within their cubicle, where levers, steering wheels, pedals, and buttons become their limbs, and the act of feeling is consumed by the hostile path they travel daily. My father, Rodrigo Fernando Astudillo Velázquez, a city bus driver for 27 years, offers his testimony to provide insight into the driver, presented in the work "304," a narrative that not only reflects my father but also every person who is a driver, through the autoethnographic account that connects with everyone who has had a driver in their home. Through the family archive, the duality of life within the bus and the work environment converge to generate a memory process, answering the question: "Who is the driver?
Resumen
La identidad y la humanidad del chofer de bus, en ocasiones no llega a ser reconocida o identificada, creando consigo, un recorrido vital cargado de ausencias y cuestionamientos propios acerca del valor, transformando al ser en un ente destinado a producir, dejando su vida dentro de su cubículo, en el cual, palanca, volante, pedales y botones son sus extremidades y el acto de sentir se lo lleva el camino hostil que recorren diariamente. Mi papá, Rodrigo Fernando Astudillo Velázquez, chofer de bus urbano durante 27 años, ofrece su testimonio para conocer acerca del conductor, presentado en la obra 304 una narrativa que no solo refleja a mi papá, sino también a cada ser que es chofer, mediante el relato auto
etnográfico que conecta con todas las personas que han tenido un chofer dentro de su hogar. A través del archivo familiar, se presenta la dualidad de la vida. Dentro del bus, lo laboral converge para generar un proceso de memoria, respondiendo a ¿Quién es el chofer?
