Abstract
Knowledge of the anatomy of the anterolateral region of the maxillary sinus should be essential when orthodontic mini screw implants are placed in the maxilla region. A retrospective study is performed to analyze the location of the alveoloantral artery in 158 Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) studies of a population the city of Cuenca Ecuador. The distance was measured between alveoloantral canal and the cervical region from the first premolar to the second molar bilaterally. Thus the average measurements of the location of said vascular package level above the dental organs being determined that the length of the miniscrew implants to be placed in the region of infracigomatic crest be exceeded 15 mm were established

El conocimiento de la anatomía de la región antero lateral del seno maxilar debe ser esencial cuando se colocan mini implantes ortodóncicos en la región maxilar. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo en el cual se analizó la localización de la arteria alveolo antral (A.A.A) en 158 estudios de tomografía volumétrica cone bean de la población de la ciudad de Cuenca Ecuador. La distancia fue medida entre el canal alveoloantral y la región cervical desde el primer premolar superior hasta el segundo molar superior bilateralmente. De esta manera se establecieron las medidas promedio de la localización de dicho paquete vascular al nivel de los órganos dentarios antes mencionados determinándose que la longitud de los mini implantes a ser colocados en la región infra cigomática no debe sobrepasar los 15 mm.
