Esta facultad nació con la Universidad de Cuenca, el 18 de octubre de 1867. En su primera etapa se mantuvo hasta 1897 cuando se dio una nueva estructura para la casa de estudios superiores. Así, reestructurada, pero manteniendo su orientación humanística, retomó actividades en 1952, durante el rectorado de Carlos Cueva Tamariz. Para ese entonces contempló los estudios de: filosofía, historia y literatura. En 1965, junto a su núcleo original se incluye la formación pedagógica para profesionales de Educación Media y pasa a denominarse Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación. La reforma de 1975, la establece con estructura de un año de materias comunes y cuatro de especialidad. Su aporte ha sido fundamental para el desarrollo cultural y educativo de la región y el país. Desde 1978 organiza encuentros periódicos sobre literatura ecuatoriana, concursos nacionales y universitarios de poesía. Ha llevado a cabo dos encuentros sobre Filosofía y ha abierto licenciaturas en Eduación General Básica, Educación Inicial, Lingüística Andina y Educación Bilingüe; así como una licenciatura en Cine.

Código de extranjería by César Molina is a collection of poems which delimits special coordinates where the motive of the migratory journey defines a painful spectacle of this process and refers it in poetic stories full of affection, criticism, and solidarity. Our reading will seek to characterize the poems of the book as a possible mapping of the contemporary book of travel. Culturales(Universidad de Cuenca, 2018) Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineEl presente artículo deriva de un proceso de investigación en torno a la producción y circulación de las antologías poéticas, editadas en español y de carácter seglar que circulan en la ciudad de Cuenca en las décadas de 1980, 1990, 2000. El recorrido intenta ubicar algunas marcas del quehacer lírico de la región y de la ciudad inscritas en los formatos de las antologías poéticas y expuestas como voces enunciativas particulares, o colectivas, autorizadas como son: las de los antologadores. Estos instauran una polifonía literaria que se ha erigido como la facultada para mostrar, la producción lírica y crítica de la ciudad; para el efecto, se establece un corpus operativo de once antologías: cuatro aparecen en los años 80; tres en los 90 y cuatro en el 2000. Estas albergan ciertas estrategias estéticas, socio-culturales-políticas que caracterizan y definan una ciudad, la región. Se muestran como trazos caligráficos, portadores de identidad local, y desde esos traspasos dialogan, interpelan, los discursos hegemónicos que provienen desde los modelos capitalinos, centralizadores, oficiales. For the development of the software, we used the Yii2 framework and the database engine with GNU / GP open code license MariaDB. In 2018, the Universidad del Azuay (UDA) signed an agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between seven Universities of Latin American; for that reason, the LIDI team of researchers from the Universidad del Azuay, as a contribution to the aforementioned agreement, proposes the development of the application for DYAC Scientific Documentation and Archives. The objective is design and develop the web application to store, and publish research files. A systematic literature review identified eleven websites, which allowed determining the most relevant and significant attributes to model in the design of the database of the web application. We combined the methodologies GORSHCHEK, SCRUM, and OOHDM. The most results show that DYAC has application administrator, researcher, registered user and visiting; in its structure, the application evidence of two sub-applications: the Backend and the Frontend web application. Finally, there is a strong commitment to socio-diversity, cultural diversity and linguistic diversity. Documentation and scientific archives take on importance.Publication Antología poética.
