Publication Formas de la experiencia estética en artes visuales como teorización en torno a un proceso referencial de investigación-creación(2024) Moya Méndez, MisaelIntroduction: After some essential methodological clarifications about research-creation as a typology of research in the arts, a process of theoretical construction is developed for a situated knowledge of the notion of aesthetic experience. Methods: It proceeds in the context of accompaniment to a collective and synchronous process of research-creation in visual arts. Through observation and critical analysis, specific forms of manifestation of the visual aesthetic experience are identified, described and categorized. Results: An elaborate concept of aesthetic experience is provided and three specific categories are identified and described, as manifested in a set of 40 research-creation exercises in visual arts. Conclusions: Research-creation proceeds through the construction of an aesthetic experience, which, based on traditional and contemporary creative exercises, can be classified as contemplative, empathetic or immersive; according to specific characteristics that shelter a stylistic, technical and expressive diversity of great richness in the visual arts.Publication Los paisajes “que pintó Martí”(Feijóo, 2020) Moya Méndez, MisaelThis book gives an account of what was an exciting and patient work in the footsteps of more than one landscape attributed to the National Hero José Martí. The arduous task led the author of these pages to investigate documentary and testimonial sources, and even to pursue the rolls of a now defunct silent film in colors dating from 1940. The conclusions point to the existence of two oil paintings that one day will be authenticate definitively; one of them, still lost. The text offers an adequate contextualization about the knowledge of Marti around the art of painting, and closes with the approach of the so-called “frustrated vocation” of José Martí, an interesting solidary solution between painting and literature.
