During the last years, many enterprises worldwide have taken a stand for equality to remember the International Women’s Day. They have created socially-oriented advertisement campaigns to express issues related to gender violence and women’s rights. This research analyzes the audiovisual content of International Women’s Day campaigns created by four Latin American enterprises. The research also studies the reaction that such videos had on Facebook users, expressed in post comments. Using Content Analysis and Frame Analysis methods, this piece explores how the audience understands each frame, creative idea and the objective of the video. In this sense, Frame Analysis was particularly important as a tool to observe the video frame by frame, not only on the visuals but also in all relevant acoustic and textual aspects. The findings suggest that education in gender, either attained by members of the creative team members or as a preparation before the campaign design, could influence the good development of the campaign itself and the users’ approval.

The topic of this thesis is focused on demonstrating the lack of analysis in both the natural and artificial lighting and it´s relationship with the indoors design in single family. Based on an analysis it was possible to determine the different criteria that were established at the moment of doing the internal design of each space as well as it´s indoors design flaws. The effects of the different materials that were used and distributed in each design and the relationship with the use of lighting. In order to establish the different facts of relationship between the light and the indoors design first it´s necessary to explain the different features of it as they are the types of light it´s characteristics uses and examples so we can proceed with the analysis of each one of the houses. Once we have done that we did a study of light based on the quality of many technologies, materials and spaces to obtain different statistics of each. Based on the results the most representative house was chosen. This house will be designed in relation with the use of both natural and artificial light in order to get different conclusions of both the author and the people who live in the house by improving their way of living with an indoors design related to lighting.

Clearly, the education area is one of the public sectors who has been experienced so many changes along the history. Those adjustments are about the pedagogy, the values insertion into the education process, etc. nevertheless, the design and infras- tructure subject has been preserved over decades. There isn’t an outstanding evolution about it. That’s why that this project, aims to make a design innovation on the framework of the space creation intended for teaching – learning process. Through an exhaustive review which includes some interna- tional and national institution of higher education pictures and plans, it comes to the conclusion that there is so many factors which has such influence that can change the education quality and the comfort of the students and teachers who are the prota- gonists day to day in the institution of higher education around the world.

This research paper aims to show the problems that arise because of noise pollution within an interior space, the same that if not treated in time brings negative factors that directly affect the health and quality of life of people. Today the interior spaces have become areas of great importance and great design intervention, which is why a new acoustic panel that covers all needs to reach acceptable levels of noise and reverberation is proposed. Among its most significant qualities are easy to install, it is modular, visually aesthetic and highly functional, offering solutions wall covering and achieving excellent comfort. This document will be taken as a contribution and guide for the correct process of acoustic conditioning of an interior space.

Mental disorders, specifically major depressive disorder, have affected thousands of people worldwide. In addition, the lack of information and awareness has caused serious consequences for people who suffer from it, for this reason there is a need to inform and raise awareness about depression and its effects. For this reason, research was conducted, and references were taken from different counterparts for the construction of a story that narrates the consequences of major depressive disorder. The animation together with a good narrative construction allows the development of informative videos that are attractive to family members and people close to those who suffer from depression and thus generate awareness of the issue. The final proposal is three informative awareness videos that will address major depressive disorder at different stages: symptoms, social stigmas, and treatment for the patient.

The purpose of this thesis is to create teaching materials based on the Cubeecraft and Chola Cuencana so that children can participate and interact with it, for this, the main characteristics of this character will be detailed in the southern highlands of the country, specifically in Azuay province, because it is the medium in which it operates, clothing will be discussed and also their farm animals as the pig, chicken, cow, sheep and guinea pig. The technique applied is stop motion animation with the help of sound, graphics, color, script, editing software, etc. Together, these elements help keep the attention of children, relating them with the characters, achieving better communicate the desired message. From illustrations of characters created educational films for children with the help of their parents can cut out and assemble our Cuencana Chola with their animals, in an easy way.

This project seeks the application of the iconography of an ancestral Ecuadorian culture in contemporary Ecuadorian graphic design. Looking first of all to cover the need to implement the pre-Columbian graphic identity as part of our present and future. In this way the Ecuadorian design would have a distinctive to the world design. The project seeks to couple, merge and generate a new visual product based on the pre - Columbian aesthetics of Jama - Coaque culture synthesized with typography. And of this synergy results the typography illustrated (lettering) that appears applied in the format of poster A2 being part of the global trend in the category of typographic poster.

Through an investigation of Interior Design major elements was determined as: Structural Factors, Siding, Lighting, Furniture. Within the furniture we rely on the need to divide spaces functional and aesthetic. Speaking of organic forms an element of the area was taken, as is the Queñua paper or tree, after studying the geometric matrix forms was determined. We analyze its elements and forms and creating a room divider with features, modern materials and aesthetic adapt to different styles and trends used today was proposed.

This project aims to present a design of a tourist application to the archaeological complex of Ingapirca, in which the historic value of the site shown, the elements that comprise it, the celebrations are traditional culture in the course cañari of each year; as well as some alternatives for lodging and meals offered by this tourist spot. To accomplish the above, we proceeded to make the collection of information from the complex, archaeological components as Pilaloma, Sun Temple, La Condamine and the trough, the Ingachungana, La Tortuga, El Intihuayco, La Cara del Inca, the Spanish Steps Ravine, and the characteristics of each of them ,; history obtained bibliographic and documentary sources, the traditions of their culture and the iconographic elements representative, this information to produce a multimedia product for mobile devices with Android system. The iconographic elements allow us to develop the graphic line for implementation. In this sense we can offer to domestic and foreign tourists a multimedia product to provide full details of the archaeological site being analyzed, thus improving the promotion of the site and its tourist influx
Aves del Pumapungo

Ecuador in fourth place in the list of countries with the most number of bird species around the world. 500 of this species live in Azuay, 160 in it’s capital Cuenca, and almost 23 inhabit the forest and gardens of Pumapungo Archeological Park, one of the best sites in the city to birdwatch. Aves del Pumapungo (Pumapungo’s Birds) is the illustrative result of the birdwatching done in this site during an specific amount of time, in which all this birds were photographed in order to create a photo-base which allowed me to select those birds of most frequent appearance in the site. Having done this selection, I proceeded to experiment with illustration techniques to represent them. Each one of this illustrations were used to create a guidebook and a poster mainly designed for the most popular public of the park: elementary school students, most of them from public schools, and foreign tourists who besides from finding specific information in this guide can keep it a as a souvenir.

For an optimal work process, an internal study of the company will be started, in which its history and current situation, competition and market will be analyzed, in order to obtain the necessary bases on which a solid brand will be designed for the company, taking into account all these essential points for a solid positioning of it within its context.
Branding para una marca de ropa basada en la iconografía Cañari para hombres de 18 a 27 años de la ciudad de Azogues

This degree project focuses on developing the branding for a clothing brand based on the Cañari culture for men aged 18 to 27 in the city of Azogues, Ecuador. For the construction of this project, the methodology proposed by Bruce Archer was chosen. Through its three phases—analytical, creative, and executive—clear and precise results were obtained. Regarding the analytical phase, essential information about the Cañari culture was collected, followed by conceptual foundations and finally, homologous clothing brands that base their designs on ancient cultures. In the creative phase, the corporate branding proposal and the development of graphic pieces for t-shirts were carried out, all based on a brief that served as a guide.
