The present project was carried out in the province of Azuay, in the city of Cuenca, and aims to implement an automated greenhouse in "La Huerta" at the Balzay Campus of the University of Cuenca. This system integrates Arduino-based technology to efficiently manage drip irrigation, climate control, and water supply, using a storage tank as the water source. The system is designed to support a medium-scale area containing three elevated planting beds designated for cultivating low-production crops. By integrating sensors and actuators, the system enables precise monitoring and control of critical variables, such as soil moisture and ambient temperature, which vary depending on the type of crop, thereby enhancing agricultural productivity. Through programmed algorithms, irrigation cycles are automated, and resources such as water and energy are optimized, ensuring sustainable space management. The initiative also seeks to promote sustainability and serve as a replicable model for other rural and urban environments.
