Internet of Things (IoT) concept refers to a network of everyday objects connected through Internet. This concept is producing significant changes in the use that is given to certain objects and is having a considerable impact in the activities that are realized in the companies. Thus, everything could be an information generator, being more immediately available to the occurrence of events. This aspect can be taken by companies as advantage to know more quickly and better the operation of their business and their environment. The Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) is the business management initiative that offers greater collaboration and visibility through the Supply Chain (SC). The IoT, based on RFID cards, could be an special relevance tool in scenarios of CPFR, where it is fundamental to share certain information, to plan with more precision and to respond more effectively along the value chain. The objective of the present article is to analyze the utility of IoT in a CPFR context.
