Item Estudio y propuestas de color para la arquitectura del Centro Histórico de Cuenca - Ecuador(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-01) Achig, María Cecilia; Paredes, María Cecilia; Barsallo, María GabrielaCurrent research main objective is to identify colours that traditionally have been use in Cuenca´s Historical Center civil architecture. To reach this objective, a methodology has been developed that includes historic data, stories and testimonies of people that have kept in their memory, the colours that have been part of the city´s image. Additionally, prospective samples or "calas” were obtained to discover in situ, colours that were hidden in the walls and other facades´ elements of some historical patrimony buildings. This enabled to make a historical colour palette, which serves as a basic instrument to be taken in account in several chromatic proposals regarding buildings and urban sections inside Cuenca´s Historic Center.Item Restauración de las fachadas de piedra del Gran Teatro de La Habana “Alicia Alonso”(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-01) Arencibia Iglesias, Sergio Raymant; Cortiñas Abrahantes, AymeéThe current paper aims at the restoration of the facades of the Alicia Alonso Havana Great Theatre, headquarters of the prestigious National Ballet of Cuba and considered an important building with recognized tangible and intangible values. It is located at the border of the old city. Its stone façades had different states of damages that were undergoing a constructive process based on proper conservation treatment. The most remarkable characteristics of the main morphologies of alteration, factors and mechanisms that influenced their evolution were shown in this work as well as the proposals of solutions to eradicate them, dealing mainly with the cleaning of the stone, selection of the used method, and the corresponding results.
