Item El impacto de las representaciones culturales, políticas e ideológicas en la implementación de la política pública de prevención del embarazo adolescente en Cuenca, en el período mayo 2013 – diciembre 2016(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-07-24) Matute Sánchez, Christian Iván; Calero Terán, Patricia VerónicaThis current research addresses social representations (cultural, political and ideological) from heath providers applying public policies to prevent teenage pregnancy. To accomplish this, the methodology to use is the documentary review and the survey of knowledge, attitudes and practices, an analysis from the perceptions of health providers when attend teenagers and the young in Cuenca´s public and local government health system since the transition of the National Intersectional Strategy to prevent teenage pregnancy and Familly Planning and also the Family Plan in Ecuador. Studies reveal inequalities in societies where the adolescent lives. Objective: To identify the influence of gender in the beginning of sexual relations and the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents of Azogues - 2018. Method: Cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative study; random sample of 280 adolescents from 12 to 18 years of the Educational Unit "Luis Cordero", the AWSA scale (Attitudes towards Women for Adolescents) was applied. Result The mean age: 14.57 years (SD=1.754); women 58.6%(n=l64) and men 41.4% (n=l16). 95.7% (n=268) of urban area. The gender attitude: good in women 37.5% (n=105) and bad 21.1% (n=59), in men 13.2% (n=37) and 28.2% (n=79) respectively, (RR=1.73, CI:1.39-2.14) Ds<0.05 statistically significant. Sexual relationships: they started 13.2% (n=37), and not 86.8% (n=243). Sexual activity and gender attitude in women: good 76.5% (n=13), and poor 23.5% (n=4)(RR=1.82, CI:0.62-5.34) Ds>0.05; and, in men: good 35% (n=7) and poor 65% (n=13)(RR=1.15, CI:0.50-2.64) Ds>0.05. Use of contraceptive methods and gender attitude in women: good 84.6% (n=11) and poor 15.4% (n=2); and, in men: good 33.3% (n=5) and poor 66.7% (n=10)(RR=0.92, CI:0.53-1.61) Ds:>0.05.
