Item Vida digna y muerte digna” perspectiva y actitudes de las personas adultas mayores en torno a la eutanasia: estudio desde un enfoque interseccional, durante 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-02) Sinchi Jimbo, Angelica María; Ortiz Carreño, Jairo Israel; Herrera Montero, Luis AlbertoOlder adults are often excluded from society, making decisions that leave their opinions aside. Aging does not occur in a homogeneous or linear way; a large part of this population group is in a situation of vulnerability. Likewise, the different conceptions held by older adults are linked by their intersectionality and the influence generated by gender roles, since these generate conceptions linked to specific needs and interests generated by a patriarchal society, such as in the case of men the importance of the economic sphere in their lives so that it is considered dignified, and on the other hand, the imposition of women to the private sphere, marking and naturalizing certain actions and beliefs. Thus, the objective of this study was "To know the perspective through the conceptions and attitudes that older adults have about dignified life, dignified death and euthanasia". To achieve this objective, a situational diagnosis was used in the Elderly Care Center of Social Action and the University for the Elderly (UPAM) located in the city of Cuenca. It is worth mentioning that a mixed methodology was applied where surveys and focus groups were used.
