Item Novela y película La Tigra: economía libidinal y capital en el personaje femenino, Francisca Miranda(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-24) Torres Cabrera, Elvia Andrea; Yépez Dután, Karla Samantha; Torres Palchisaca, Galo AlfredoThis research project entitled Novel and film La Tigra: libidinal economy and capital in the female character, Francisca Miranda proposes to delve into an interpretative study of the female figure of Francisca, La Tigra. The general objective is to define and base these theoretical notions to analyze the protagonist of the novel (1940) and the film La Tigra (1990). It will be taken as a conceptual framework, on the one hand, the use of libidinal economy by Sigmund Freud in his works entitled El malestar de la cultura (1931), Tres ensayos de teoría sexual y otras obras (1905, 1992) and Formulaciones sobre los dos principios del acaecer psíquico (1989, 1911). Likewise, we will resort to the authors Laplanche and Pontalis, in their book Diccionario de Psicoanálisis (1967, 2004). And, on the other hand, the capitalist economy based on the literary work of Marx, El Capital (1867, 1995), the book by Thomas Piketty entitled El capital en el siglo XXI (2014) and the chilean economist Axel Kaiser with his text El economista callejero (2022). The method used will be hermeneutics applied to the temporality of narrative texts, according to the version of Paul Ricoeur in his book Tiempo y narración I. Configuración del tiempo en el relato histórico (1985, 2004). At the end of our study we have found that Francisca combines the capitalist economy by being an entrepreneur and business manager (exchange value); and, the libidinal economy due to the predominance of the pleasure principle through its unbridled passionate desires with its workers (use value).
