Item Nivel de conocimientos y actitudes sobre aborto inducido en usuarios del Centro de Salud N° 1 Pumapungo. Cuenca. 2018(2018) Guamán Loja, Jorge Marcelo; Marcatoma Zhiñin, Nancy Marisol; Tapia Cárdenas, Jeanneth PatriciaBackground: the voluntary interruption of pregnancy represents a public health problem that compromises the reproductive health of women from the biological, psychological and social point of view, and can end the life of a woman who is carried out in situations of risk. Objective: to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes about induced abortion in users of the Health Center No. 1 Pumapungo during the month of August 2018. Methodology: observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study. A test of knowledge and an escalation of Likert-like attitudes modified on induced abortion was applied to 400 users who met the inclusion criteria. The level of knowledge and attitudes regarding induced abortion are reported. The data was delivered by means of personalized tables. The SPSS MB 15 and Excel programs are used to analyze the data. Ethical processes were applied for studies with human beings. Results: of the 400 participants, with an average age of 31.7 years, 70.3% were women and 40% had secondary education, 75.3% resided in urban areas, 67.5% identified themselves as Catholics, 46% had a medium-low high socioeconomic level 68% of the respondents had a medium level of knowledge, 25.8% had a high level of knowledge and the low 6.3%. The attitude of indifference was the most frequent with 54.3%, an attitude of acceptance in 23.5% and a rejection in 22.3%.
