Despite significant advances in photovoltaic solar generation, its intermittent nature due mainly to natural phenomena causes large variations in the output power, causing negative impacts on the quality of energy and the stability of the electrical system. The variations of photovoltaic power cannot be controlled directly from its generation, so the different energy storage technologies are repeated in order to reduce these fluctuations. This work aims to reduce photovoltaic power fluctuations by applying an electrical storage system coordinated by energy management strategies. So that the reliability of the system for the connection to the network is increased. The system under study is made up of a bank of supercapacitors such as a storage system and a photovoltaic generation plant, belonging to the Balzay Campus Micro grid Laboratory of the University of Cuenca. The study modeled the system and its respective simulation, comparing the algorithm technique using power ramp control, low pass filter strategy (LPF) and strategies based on mobile average algorithm (MA), in which analyzes the performance of the different techniques to attenuate the variations of photovoltaic solar power.
