Analysis of the transformations in the landscape generated by
the urban expansion of Cuenca, is done through a review of
the history of the city for a vision of its future; It will elucidate
what did our ancestors in this region, what we are doing in the
present, and especially what should we do for the future. In
this context, urban expansion and population growth of the
city of Cuenca in the last 50 years is analyzed.
