Item Estilos de crianza y desempeño académico en estudiantes de bachillerato.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-11-16) León Morocho, Erica Vanessa; Guillén Verdesoto, Ximena KarinaThe bibliographical research that is presented addresses one of the most important concerns that occupies the entire social system, say families, institutions, civil society, politicians: academic performance. Among its determinants is recognized the importance of the role of the family and the styles of parental relationships for the psychosocial adjustment of children and adolescents and especially its role in academic performance. The fuctions of the family, in its historical evolution, as a basic cell of social organization, the construction of parental styles and its influence on the integral well-being of adolecents are explored. The main approaches to understanding adolescent academic performance and the variables that infuence it are examined. Empirical findings are presented that support the theorical postulated that are defended. It is concluded in relation to the main parental styles of school adolescents and the particularities of this close link between academic performance and parental styles.
