With a descriptive, longitudinal design, selected a sample of 40 patients with myofascial pain from muscle infraspinatus treated in Hospital Vicente poultry during June to November 2010 and applied ten sessions with the technique of stretching with reciprocal inhibition. It was measured pain through a Visual Análoga scale (EAV) decrease after each session and to finish the treatment. In sample was a predominance of women (60%), with 67.5% aged 19 to 59, with 25% of overweight and obesity according to the BMI and 67.5% of occupations that require manual activities: housewives, merchants and public employees. 47.5% of patients pain had at least 2 weeks duration and 52.5% history was longer. Right shoulder was the most affected (62.5%) and the most frequent location of pain in the anterior shoulder (52.5%). There were points trigger associated 42.5 per cent of cases: dorsal width (17.5%) and pectoralis major (15%) but only 20% needed to desgatillamiento. Antepulsión shoulder had 92.5% of cases. After 10 sessions of the technique of stretching with reciprocal inhibition pain measured by EAV was a highly significant reduction (P = 0,0008). The results reinforce the validity of the technique described in the medical and recommended literature as an alternative: to stretch with spray of chloride of ethyl, transcutaneous electrical stimulation and point trigger with local anesthetic injection steroids or botulinum toxin.Item Estudio comparativo del tratamiento fisioterapéutico en lesiones miotendinosas del miembro inferior. General Objective: To determine the frequency of ankle instability through the Star Excursion Balance Test in athletes of the Athletics Association of the "Salesian Technical" Educational Unit. Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional, observational, descriptive, prospective investigation was conducted in the Athletics Association of the "Salesian Technical" Educational Unit to determine the frequency of ankle instability through the Star Excursion Balance Test Modified Test. The processing was performed in the Movie2Perform software to determine the risk of contactless injuries and the SPSS15.0 software with a significance of 0.05 to characterize the variables and elaborate the statistical results. Results: 99 athletes were evaluated, of which the average age was 15.13 (SD 1.81) years, according to the performance obtained in the Modified SEBT 52.52% of the population obtained a performance "below the standard". According to the level of risk of injury, 82.82% qualified in the category of substantial risk and 17.17% moderate risk. Conclusion: A large percentage of the sample has a high risk of suffering injuries resulting from ankle instability, the highest percentage was in men with 62.62% corresponding to the age of 15-18 years.Item Evaluación ergonómica con el método Rula al personal instrumentista de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Cuenca durante el período junio a noviembre del 2016(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-11-11) Pintado Molina, Boris Fernando; Segarra Verdugo, Tatiana Estefanía; Ayavaca Tapia, Luz María; Pesántez Díaz, Tania LorenaBackground. Finally a reassessment with RULA was performed. Results. The results were : Ergonomic High Risk : right (60 % ) and left ( 54.29 % ) side denoting the absence of Ergonomics in : Law ( 28.57 % ) and left ( 31.43% ) and medium risk ergonomic side instrumentalists . After the intervention decreased to a low level of ergonomic risk for both the right and left side of (100 %). Conclution.
