Item Valoración del riesgo de caídas a través de la escala de Tinetti en el grupo de adultos mayores Historia Viva San Joaquín, Cuenca. Falls are the second cause of mortality due to accidental or involuntary injuries in this age group; consequences include physical, social, and psychological limitations, which have a negative impact in the quality of life. Furthermore, this situation entails significant expenses and considerable physical and emotional burden for those working as caregivers. To determine the risk of falling in the Historia Viva San Joaquín group of older adults. Descriptive study was conducted; the sample comprised 62 older adultd, members of the Historia Viva San Joaquín group, Data colletion was carried out using the Tinetti Scale. The average age was 76.83 ± 6.67 years. Those aged 75 to 79 reported a higher prevalence of falls (29.03%), there was a with a higher perentage of females (70.96%), and overweight represented 51.61% of the cases. Half of the participants fell into the Falls Risk category.
