Item Costos de accidentes de trabajo y su incidencia en la gestión de seguridad y salud, en la ejecución del proyecto hidroeléctrico PH1(2016) Pérez Ulloa, Danilo Alejandro; Flores Andrade, Fernando AugustoThe construction of infrastructure projects, involves a series of risks, for its own employees and subcontractors, some of these risks cannot be avoided, so it is necessary to deploy engineering control measures as priority, administrative measures, and as a last alternative, regulating the use of personal protective equipment, obviously, these measures entail costs which affect the outcome of the project. Through the present, proposes a methodology through the application of simple arrays to identify and calculate the costs of work-related accidents, which can be used in construction projects. As specific objectives, we sought to: (i) systematize the identification of direct and indirect costs of work-related accidents, (ii) simplify the calculation of these costs; and, (iii) establish relations that allow to assess the incidence of such costs, with regard to the management of occupational health and safety of the project Analyzed the costs of work accidents raised in the last two years, of a construction company (the same that has been identified as a contractor C1), in a project in the country (which was denominated as PH1), on which remained absolute confidentiality. LTDA. Company. The thesis is composed by four chapters. In the first one, the current status of the Company and its operating conditions are identified, and the production process is described. In the second chapter, the concepts of occupational health and safety are analyzed. The causes of accidents are defined too. In this way the operation process of the Company is diagnosed and risks and weaknesses to which workers are subjected are identified. In the third chapter, the risks are eliminated, taking control of them by applying a safety plan. All this is achieved through the identification and evaluation conducted by observing activities and measuring some pollution parameters within the Company. The results of this study were factors that allowed taking decisions to control risks in order to prevent accidents in the different work areas. Finally, in the fourth chapter, the conclusions and recommendations that should be implemented in the Company are presented.
