Comunicación y grooming: uso y riesgos de las redes sociales en adolescentes del Club Deportivo Cuenca

Grooming on social networks is a worrying phenomenon that has been increasing in recent years. It is a serious problem that requires the collaboration and action of everyone, from parents and educators to the social networks themselves, to protect minors and maintain a safe online environment. The objective of this study is to analyze the use and risks of social networks in adolescents of Club Deportivo Cuenca in relation to Grooming with a sample of 90 participants. The results are defined from 3 points: the first are the motivational factors in the use and risk of social networks, the second on the social networks that receive greater use by adolescents, and the last shows the affectation that adolescents have experienced by grooming. With all the information collected, the results indicate that the lack of knowledge of this topic is the main factor that leads pedophiles to cheat through social networks, since there is no good use, nor supervision and privacy of information by adolescents online.
