The research paper aims to establish the specific conditions in which the relationship University/State/
society evolves, and the implications this has on the exercise of criticism from the academia. In the current
situation of the country, which intends to establish a model of modernization reflected in higher education,
it is necessary to reveal the mechanisms by which the University is functionalized to the authoritarian
project, eliminating the critical dimension and the autonomy of the institutions and the system.
