The article discusses the relationship and importance of urban trees to achieve comfort in outdoor spaces and mitigate the impacts of urban pollution and heat island. To determinate the pollution levels in Cuenca is consulted the annual monitoring reports by the Municipal Mobility and Transport from 2008 to 2014. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reports and Reporting Standard Construction (NEC - 11) to diagnose the climatic conditions of the city and set the range of thermal comfort are used.
