Anti- Müllerian hormone (AMH) concentration was determined and a reference value was established to predict the ability of donor cows (Holstein crossbreds) to produce follicles in response to superovulation protocols that provide numerous oocytes and embryos in vivo. In the first experiment 140 cows received a synchronization protocol to reinitiate the follicular wave. On day 11 of the protocol, AMH concentration was measured and antral follicle counts (AFC) ≤ 4mm were performed. It was observed that AMH concentrations correlated positively with AFC (r=0.783). The second experiment related AFC, AMH levels and response of 36 in vivo embryo donors to a superovulation protocol. The number of follicles observed on day 9 in the high AMH group (23.1 ± 1.28 follicles) was greater than cows in the low AMH group (13.1 ± 0.76 follicles). The ovulation percentage was greater in the high AMH concentration group (26.3%) versus the low concentration group (13.3 ± 0.97 vs. 9.8 ± 0.57 CL). In addition, more embryos were recovered in the high (8.2 ± 0.77) vs. low AMH group (3.2 ± 0.50). Finally, the third experiment related AMH concentration to the number and quality of cumulus-oocyte complexes (COC’s) recovered from heifers by ultrasound-guided aspiration (OPU). Sixty-one crossbred Holstein heifers with high, medium and low AMH concentration were evaluated. It was determined that plasma AMH levels were positively and significantly related to the total number of antral follicles <4mm at the time of restarting the follicular wave (r=0.93). In addition, animals with high AMH concentration presented twice the number of follicles on the day of OPU compared to animals with low AMH concentration (24,8 ± 0,52) versus (11,6 ± 0,36) respectively. Likewise, although a similar recovery percentage (57%) was obtained in both groups, the greater number of follicles in the high AMH group allowed obtaining twice the number of suitable COC's for in vitro embryo production.Item El Clóset(Universidad de Cuenca, 22-11-11) Castillo Flores, Hugo Patricio; Falconí Abad, María MonserrathThe closet, in its most basic meaning, is defined as a piece of furniture where we place everything we decide to keep or hide, but what happens when people use it to mask their sexual identity? In this case, "the closet" becomes a space that can be explained from heteronormativity and is used as a mechanism of biopolitical control through which families and society exercise power over the body and sexuality of its members, of those who subvert the norm in sexual matters. This research seeks to analyze the social factors that drive a person to assume or not, in the public eye, his or her homosexual identity within what is commonly referred as "coming out of the closet", as well as to expose the effects of the process of such coming out in the lives of the investigated subjects and their closest relationships. To achieve these objectives, the research work is expressed through the production of an ethnographic documentary video made with five homosexuals from the city of Cuenca-Ecuador, who, through an ethnographic method and a qualitative approach, expose their life experiences in relation to the so-called "closet". The study showed that "the closet" is a very complex symbolic space, both imaginary and real, that simultaneously represents subordination to the hetero-patriarchal system and submission to the norm in order to live and belong in our modern societies. Therefore, the "closet" is a space from which one never fully emerges; it is a threshold that is permanently crossed.Item Estrategias de comunicación para el management y visibilización musical de artistas independientes en la escena cuencana(Universidad de Cuenca, 28-09-09) Picón García, Dana Gabriela; Ordóñez Urgilés, José Francisco; Zeas Bustamante, Freddy XavierThis collaborative graduation project, carried out in partnership with the bands AmyRoot, Equinoccio, and Ivenno, aimed to apply communication strategies for the management and musical promotion of independent artists in the Cuencan scene. We started from the analysis of the main materials used, bamboo and earth, which are abundant in the environment and their cost is low compared to others, knowing their behavior, advantages and disadvantages, we developed an architectural proposal of modular and scalar housing, with bamboo structure and prefabricated BTC panels, this design should meet the needs of an average family, so we start from the modular and functional analysis of the kitchen, which is proposed as the most important area of the house and around which the whole house is developed, With the architectural proposal proposed, the construction system was developed, following the same principles of low cost, easy construction and scalability, which is why it is proposed bolted joints which allow changes and extensions in the structure, as final points, but equally important, through the use of digital tools the seismic behavior of the house is simulated and necessary reinforcements were proposed, the process culminated with the development of a budget in which it is analyzed whether the proposal is viable or not, economically.Item Coronas Jacket-Crown de acrílicos autopolimerizables para obturaciones(195-11-11) Peña Ugalde, IsaacItem Análisis histórico de la pena en el derecho penal ecuatoriano(199) Ramírez Tenorio, Marco Enrique; Peña Ruiz, JoséItem Diseño de un plan de vigilancia de la salud para los trabajadores de la Función Judicial del cantón Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 200-10-15) Tuba Criollo, Ana Cecilia; Nivelo, Marco AntonioOccupational health and safety as a fundamental part of industrial safety and hygiene, imposes a regulatory, moral and economic obligation on organizations, contributing to the well-being of employees and job performance. Therefore, aspects of safety are increasingly incorporated in institutions, as a fundamental element for the development of activities, from where all the different organizational levels play an important role in improving industrial safety and hygiene. The objective of this work was to design an occupational health surveillance program for workers in the Judicial Branch of the Cuenca canton, which is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic and national legislation. The study methodology is qualitative, since the information was qualified through the collection of data and information directly. It was concluded that, since there was no tool to help organize occupational health surveillance in the institution, the implementation of an operational guide for different jobs was proposed in order to carry out initial, periodic medical care, change of post, reinstatement and departure of the worker, as well as the development of healthy activities for workers that guarantee their physical, mental and social health in the workplace from a preventive medical approach, motivating the implementation of the surveillance program, its compliance and continuous improvementItem El matrimonio(1911) Urigüen, AlfonsoItem La posesión, su teoría: fundamento de la protección posesoria; la institución de la posesión en el derecho romano(1935) Peralta Páez, BenjamínItem Tuberculosis óseas(1935-11-11) Muñoz Borrero, JulioItem La miocarditis en el curso de la fiebre tifoidea(1936-11-11) Abad P., GerardoItem El neumotorax artificial(1936-11-11) Puertas L., J.
