It is from violent family events that it is decided to take interfamily violence as a real phenomenon that directly affects society, generating tangible consequences in a short, medium and long term. From all of this, it is clear the effects it has on the victims, generating a circle of interfamily violence that can be taken to later generations. The naturalization of violence leads to the acceptance of future violent acts, enabling the development of a state of learned vulnerability, which is mainly appreciable among women in the home. The purpose of this research was to identify the perception that women have regarding the transmission of interfamily violence, the same that was carried out in the province of “Azuay”, “canton El Pan”, in “La Merced” community. Therefore, a qualitative approach with exploratory scope and a phenomenological design was used. We worked with women from the same community, belonging to a support group. The main result of the research was that the patriarchal culture turned out to be the main mechanism for interfamily violence to be maintained and transmitted. In the context studied, the incidence of interfamily violence in the education of children has become naturalized and has become a tool for their educationItem Factores psicosociales que influyen en los emprendimientos de personas inmigrantes en Cuenca(2018) Loja Lojano, Jonnathan David; Nugra Nugra, Verónica Gabriela; Rivera Ullauri, María JoséImmigrant’s entrepreneurship is a social and economic phenomenon, which has been a source of controversy in the host countries, many studies have been conducted in several parts of the world, but in the Cuenca, there are very few studies about this topic. The aim of this research is to explore the psychosocial factors that influence immigrant’s entrepreneurship in Cuenca. Exploratory study, when the information was mainly collected through interviews and focus-groups, completed with the review of socio-economic data of the Social Work department, databases of Casa del Migrante and the application of institutional sociograms. The participants were 18 Colombian, Venezuelan and Haitian immigrants, aged between 18 and 65 years old, who are part of one of the projects of enterprises of the Entrepreneurship Program of Casa of Migrante (Municipality of Cuenca). The main findings show that the motivations for entrepreneurship are related to the motivations to leave their native country, which in the case of the study group, are motivations of subsistence or necessity (push). However, the business ideas of immigrants convert their pull motivations into pull motivation, because they intend to help other immigrants and local inhabitants with jobs. On the other hand, Cuenca’s context hinders the development of immigrants’ entrepreneurship, mainly due to contextual (institutional support), legal (obtaining legal documents) and cultural factors (discrimination at work). On the contrary, the factors that make it possible for an immigrant to undertake are the skills and experiences that have been enhanced by the confidence of their own abilities, the development of a business plan and the creation of new networks of work.Item Percepción de la participación y actoría de los representantes de la sociedad civil en el Consejo Cantonal de protección de derechos de Cuenca(2018) Chica Ochoa, Leonardo Segundo; León Machuca, Walter FabiánThe present investigation, of descriptive-experimental character, is an approach to the representatives of the civil society before the Cantonal Council of Protection of Rights of Cuenca, in the period April 2015 - December 2016. The main goal of this investigation is to know the perceptions on their participation and role in the decision makings within their collegiate body. This research had a qualitative approach, that is why methodology to triangulate the information obtained between: proceedings of sessions of the Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights (AC), ten interviews with representatives of civil society before the Cantonal Protection Council of Rights (EN) and a focal group (GF) was used. The data obtained were transcribed and later analyzed with the program Atlas. Ti version 7, which allowed us to categorize the information and then select the most relevant texts through the method of matrix analysis of categories. This method allows to construct an interpretation favoring the finding of relationships between the categories analyzed and the discourses of the interviewees. The results showed that participation in decision making was intense but not in the role where civil society representatives could not influence on the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies for reasons described in this research. The realization of this research opened the possibility to have an analysis of how the representatives of the civil society saw their participation and role and how the Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights can improve their work in the following periods with the new representatives of the civil society, since the participants in this investigation have already completed the period for which they were elected.Item Análisis de la autonomía de mujeres que reciben el bono de desarrollo humano en Cuenca(2018) Cuasapaz Jarro, Manuel Fernando; Deleg Saquicaray, Lorena Rocío; Orellana Espinoza, Elvis PatricioThe Human Development Bond (BDH) is a program that is part of conditional cash transfer programs (CCT) whose main objective is to help reduce poverty through the strengthening of human capital invested in education and health, however this program it does not analyze the autonomy of beneficiary women or mothers, but on the contrary, it fosters and makes invisible the role of women's care work, a discussion that is focused on the ideas of the theory of care. Furthermore, CCTs are programs focused on children. and adolescents, which is why evaluations have naturally focused on their impact on them, leaving aside aspects of relationships within the home between mothers and children, and between spouses, as well as between households and authorities that administer the program. The work aims to identify specific aspects generated in the autonomy of women, their relationship with care work and the public policy behind the BDH program, for which fifteen in-depth interviews were conducted distributed among six beneficiaries, six women no beneficiaries and three technicians from the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion related to the program. We found that the autonomy of women is limited from the beginning, as they assume as their responsibility the activities of caring for the house and the people who make up the family without taking the time to develop their own skills or generate their own livelihood In addition, CCT programs continue to promote the division of responsibilities based on gender within the family through the assignment of co-responsibility to women.
