Item Análisis de los beneficios del karate-do como método práctico para mejorar el estilo de vida en el adulto(2016) Jara Pesántez, Estefanía Carolina; Zúñiga Tamayo, Fernanda Elizabeth; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe main objective of this degree work is to demonstrate that through Karate-Do, we can improve the adult lifestyle by increasing their physical abilities, through a pre designed program for white belts, and adapted to the characteristics of the group work, this design is under a technical table described like these: basic kihon, kata, kihon of shiai kumite, and theory. The working group is for adults between 35 to 60 years old, mostly for people who did not perform any physical and continuously activity. As a result of the program we will know the benefits offered by this martial art through the continuous practice for about 3 months. We will demonstrate that to practice of Karate - Do it is not important age, gender, culture, etc. With the obtained results, we will do the respective tabulation and analysis of the performed data, through it, we can observe the positive effects on the physical conditions of the working group, and also its improvement was achieved in 100% of the planned objectives.Item Análisis de los niveles de Actividad Física y Autoeficacia motriz en un programa lúdico de alta intensidad en las clases de educación física(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-16) Caldas Uyaguari, Israel Sebastián; Pinduisaca Minchala, Erika Lisseth; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe objective of the present study is to analyze the levels of physical activity and motor self- efficacy of a high-intensity playful program applied in adolescents of the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional San Roque during physical education classes. The study corresponds to a non- probabilistic quasi-experimental design with descriptive approach to evaluate the variables physical activity levels and self-efficacy as a function of gender and educational sub-level. The sample consisted of 61 students (26 women and 35 men), with a mean age of 14.82 ± 1.17 years, distributed in ninth and tenth grades of Educación General Básica, and first and second grade of Bachillerato General Unificado. The program lasted 8 weeks and was carried out in a physical education class (45 minutes) per week. Each session was observed using the System for Observing Fitness Instruction Time in Physical Education and the Motor Self- Efficacy questionnaire was applied at the end of the program. The results indicate the prevalence of active behaviors in 78.45% and a significant association with gender (p=0.02728), the average contribution to Moderate and Vigorous Physical Activity is 12,55 minutes (78.45%). Males showed significantly higher motor self-efficacy scores than females with a difference of 3.74 units (p=0.00297). These findings highlight the effectiveness of the high-intensity playful program in promoting adequate levels of physical activity and provides an empirical basis for improving physical education strategies aimed at promoting active and healthy lifestyles in school settings.Item Beneficios de un programa de ejercicios acuáticos dirigido a mujeres en estado de gestación del centro de salud parque iberia(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-09) Pizarro Ortega, Juan Andrés; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierPhysical inactivity during pregnancy tends to pose a threat, so it is necessary to restore balance in the different body systems to ensure a healthy pregnancy and prevent maternal and fetal risks. For this reason, the main objective of this study is to assess the benefits of an aquatic exercise program for pregnant women attending the “Parque Iberia” health center. The research design applied was quasi-experimental, with a physical exercise program conducted in water over 11 weeks. A sample (n) of 15 pregnant women was obtained, divided into two experimental groups of 5 pregnant women each, who participated in the aquatic exercise program, and a control group of 10 pregnant women, who were not subjected to any intervention. To determine the effects of the program, a satisfaction survey was applied to the intervention group. Additionally, three questionnaires were used: the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ), the Pregnancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (PPAQ), which assesses health and physical condition in pregnant women, and the Standardized Nordic Questionnaire for musculoskeletal complications. The intervention program consisted of low-impact activities based on a literature review, and the instructional model for this program was direct and guided instruction. The expected results of this research proposal focus on the effectiveness of aquatic exercise programs for pregnant women.Item Efectos generados por el confinamiento sobre el nivel de actividad física y hábitos alimenticios en adolescentes (jóvenes entre 14 – 17 años)(Universidad de Cuenca, 7-07-06) Cornejo Chacha, Edgar Dario; Billazhiñay Zhapán, Juan Andrés; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierPhysical activity is a fundamental axis for the welfare of people, accompanied by proper nutrition, favor the prevention of high-risk diseases, including the psychological aspect as it improves the self-concept of themselves, all this demonstrated by various studies, which show us countless benefits for all, and due to the situation through which the world went through because of the pandemic by COVID-19, we must emphasize the importance of physical activity and maintaining good eating habits in favor of our health, that is why this study aims to identify the effects generated by the confinement and social isolation due to the pandemic COVID-19, on the level of physical activity and eating habits in young school children between 14 and 17 years, through the application of questionnaires such as: Eating Behavior and the International Questionnaire of Physical Activity, questionnaires that consist of sections of a before and during the confinement because of Covid-19, the application of these questionnaires will be to students of the Unified General High School of the Alicia Loza Meneses Fiscomisional Educational Unit in the school year 2020 - 2021. Finally, it was found that there are not so significant statistical changes in the level of low physical activity (31.5%- 33.1%), moderate physical activity (24.6%-25.4%) and high physical activity (43.8%-41.3%), where it is evident that most students are physically active. With regard to eating habits, it was determined that both the consumption and preparation of food improved significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic.Item Elaboración de un programa de iniciación deportiva para la categoría infanto juvenil de saltos ornamentales en la Federación Deportiva del Azuay 2017(2018) Alba Jimbo, Jorge Gabriel; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe purpose of this project is to design an INITIATION PROGRAM FOR ORNAMENTAL JUMPS IN SPORTSMEN OF THE FEDERACION DEPORTIVA DEL AZUAY. For which it has been investigated on the sports preparation of ORNAMENTAL JUMPS at early ages, which is the appropriate one to begin in this sport. The objective of this work is to demonstrate that through this program satisfactory results will be obtained after proposing a 3-month planning in which it is specified in the annual macro cycle of Ornamental Falls and that consists of exercises that improved the part physical, technical, especially the flexibility and coordination essential for this sport. This work was carried out with the participation of 12 athletes from the Azuay team, in the children and youth category, to which they were given an initial test, intermediate test and final test to conclude with results that were tabulated and analyzed resulting in positive effects. And improvements in each of the elements they perform in competition. At the end of my project there was an internal championship and evaluation of the athletes of the national team who gave positive results improving their score in most of the competition elements, clarifying that two of them in the category 10-11 years were classified for the championship Pacific Cup to be held in Medellin-Colombia.Item Implementación de un programa lúdico para mejorar las habilidades motrices básicas en niños entre 5 a 10 años que practican Judo(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-02-29) Abad Rivera, Katherine Estefanía; Guamán Zumba, María José; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe objective of this study was to know the motor profile of boys and girls between 5 and 10 years of age who practice Judo in the Sports Federation of Cañar. After the pre-evaluation of this profile, a recreational program was applied, with the intention of improving basic motor skills, comparing if this program can help improve these skills in the group of boys and girls. The methodology applied was a quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design, applying pre- and post-tests to the sample, which consisted of 27 boys and girls. The instrument used was the Fonseca Psychomotor Battery (BPM), which measures 7 aspects of motor skills: tonicity, balance, laterality, body notion, temporospatial structuring, global praxia and final praxia. The recreational program was applied in the Judo Dojo and was based on factors such as tonicity, balance and laterality, which contain activities that involve the other factors of the BPM; and was applied for 4 weeks in the group of participants in the schedules that practiced Judo. The total pretest mean was 12 indicating a dyspraxic level in basic motor skills and around 1.5 in the mean for the 7 indicators. After the program and the post-test evaluation, the total mean increased to 24, suggesting a "good" indicator in the application of basic motor skills; the mean of the 7 factors rose to 3.5 in most of them, indicating the correct execution of basic motor skills, and the mean of the 7 factors rose to 3.5 in most of them, indicating the correct execution of basic motor skills.Item Influencia de los beneficios de la natación en el desarrollo motriz en niños de 4 a 6 años, Ecuador periodo 2015-2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-03-14) Guiñanzaca Chimbay, Jorge Vinicio; Pando Peña, Segundo Abelardo; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThis bibliographic review was developed based on the theme: "Influence of the benefits of swimming on motor development in children aged 4 to 6 years, Ecuador period 2015-2020". Whose purpose was to investigate the influence of the benefits of the practice of swimming in the Infant stage 4 - 6 years and its influence on motor development. For the selection of articles, digital platforms in Spanish and English published in the period 2015-2020 whose age range is 4 to 6 years were used, a total of 8 scientific articles published in Ecuador and 5 studies carried out in other countries were included. They deal with work methodologies. In this way, the present bibliographic collection analyzed the studies related to the benefits of swimming achieved thanks to the practice of this sport. Among the main results obtained, it was found that the relationship between the adult and the child is essential to provide security, principles such as recreation, singing, music help make learning significant in the child, thus potentiating their abilities, and the methods such as the Comprehensive Aquatic Method and the Ludic Narrative Model that are very useful for teaching due to their multiple benefits.Item Influencia del mando directo y asignación de tareas en la motivación y ejecución de elementos gimnásticos, en escolares de 6-8 años(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-04-14) Guillén Andrade, Christian Ricardo; Sarmiento Otavalo, Boris Xavier; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThis research had place in the Unidad Educativa de las Fuerzas Armadas COMIL - 4 “Abdón Calderón”. The mentioned institution the teachers said they used different teaching styles in order to teach gymnastic content. As well, the results were satisfactory in both execution and motivation level; nonetheless, the above lacks of scientific support. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to analyze the effect between Direct Command and Task Assignation on the execution of gymnastics elements and its incidence on the motivation of students of elementary level. Consequently, a quasiexperimental study was developed in which 52 students participated. They were divided into two groups with ages between six to eight years old. For this purpose, a teaching program was applied under these two styles, one for each group. This program had a duration of 12 sessions, which had as focus to teach about gymnastics elements: role forward, role backward and head vertical. The data on the execution of these elements were collected before and after the implementation of the program; and to evaluate them a checklist was applied, in relation to motivation, the Motivation Questionnaire in Physical Education in Primary Education (CMEF-EP) was used. From the results it was evident that these styles made a big difference (value p<0,05) in each gymnastic element and, about the motivation, it kept positive values. This monographic work proposes to investigate, analyze and reflect on the relationship between physical activity and school performance in children. To meet this objective, a documentary and bibliographic research was carried out the information obtained was oeganized into three chapters. The first chapter addresses the subject of physical activity, concepts, types, classification, benefits and approaches; Chapter two talks about school performance specifically at the school stage. Finally, base on the two previos chapters, the relationship between physical activity and how it flows in children is argued. The research led to the conclusión that: The practice od physical activity (PA) reports benefits to physical and mental health in children. In addition, children who practice physical activity systematically with a moderate intensity in correspondacne to their characteristics, show improvements in their cognitive processes such as: attention, short-term memory and learning, whic positively affects their school performance. This research work can serve as a basis for future research on the subject, it also means a reference and preparation material for the population, theacher, parents and students.Item La natación como curso obligatorio y su impacto en la condición físico - emocional en estudiantes de deporte de la Universidad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-09-22) Astudillo Peñafiel, Kerly Victoria; Peralta Landi, Camila Samantha; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe pandemic caused by COVID-19, has consequences on people's health, both in physical and emotional fitness, reducing people's quality of life, for this reason the objective of this research is to carry out a comparative analysis of the post-pandemic impact generated by the swimming chair on the physical-emotional condition of students enrolled in the period September 2021 - February 2022. This work is of a quasi-experimental type and is formed with the application of the Eurofit battery, which helps to measure the physical condition and the Dass scale questionnaire that helps to assess the emotional condition of each person. The population was 100 students who have studied swimming at the University of Cuenca, who sign the informed consent. In the results that were obtained, they were compared with two similar studies, in order to obtain the clearest and most precise analyses. There was an improvement in the two variables, first of all, in Eurofit, it is significantly evidenced 0.000 degree of significance that at P ≤ 0.05 which means an increase in the physical condition of the participants in each of the tests in this case the Flemish balance threw in the pretest 4.48 and in post. 1.20 in the general mean for this indicator, you can also compare the result of the tapping test that for the pre obtained 12.88 and in the post it has 9.17 in the general meanof the dimension it can be observed that the fiscal condition I improve significantly when I start swimming classes. On the other hand, regarding the DAAS scale, effective results are also shown, taking into account the general average presented 20.41% in the pre-test and forthe post-test 13.88%, managing to mitigate the emotional indices 6 .53%. In conclusion, thesetwo variables produced positive results for the physical and mental well-being of post- pandemic participants; assuming that compulsory swimming courses are favorable forstudents.Item La práctica del Judo para el desarrollo de las habilidades motrices de los niños y niñas de 9 a 11 años(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-03-06) Duchi Japa, Jessica Del Cisne; Tacuri Zhizhpon, Byron Patricio; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierMotor skills are fundamental in the physical and cognitive development of schoolchildren, as they influence their ability to perform coordinated movements. Their stimulation at early ages favors integral wellbeing. This research analyzed the effects of Judo on the development of motor skills in children from 9 to 11 years of age from the “San Joaquín” Educational Unit. Their skills were evaluated before and after a Judo program using the Psychomotor Battery. The sample included 12 children, 7 boys (58.3%) and 5 girls (41.7%). Before the program, most of them presented a dyspraxic profile, with difficulties in tonicity, balance, laterality and body notion. After the application of the program, based on Judo techniques such as falls, grips and throws, a considerable improvement was evidenced. In the post- test, the participants reached a hyperpraxic profile, with significant improvements in all the variables evaluated. The comparative analysis between pre- and post- intervention results showed significant statistical differences (p < 0.05), evidencing the effectiveness of Judo in psychomotor development. The practice of Judo strengthened motor skills, improving coordination, balance and body awareness. In addition, participants experienced a positive impact on their physical and emotional performance. In conclusion, Judo represents an effective tool to enhance psychomotor development in schoolchildren, favoring their physical and emotional performance.Item Programa de calentamiento en educación física de acuerdo a las destrezas curriculares imprescindibles para los subniveles elemental, media y superior en escuelas rurales(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-01-24) Coraisaca Inga, Luis Octavio; Chalco Chalco, Bryan Ricardo; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierIn physical education, warm-up is a series of preparatory physical exercises before starting a more intense physical activity. The objective of this research work is to design and apply a general and specific warm-up program in physical education classes according to the essential skills of the 4 main curricular blocks for the elementary, middle and upper sub-levels of EGB of the Vicente Rocafuerte, Andrés Guritave and Carlos Mata Coronel educational units of the rural parish of Taday, Azogues, Cañar Province. It is of a pre-experimental type, so there is no control group and there is only an intervention group made up of students from the mentioned educational units and with students from 7 to 15 years of age who are in the elementary, middle and higher sub- levels of Basic General Education. The intervention was developed during normal class hours in each institution, for 6 weeks with 1 class per week for each curricular block and sublevel. Before and after the intervention, students filled out a Cspo questionnaire (pre and post) to evaluate their satisfaction and level of participation. The data obtained were coded numerically for their respective analysis through descriptive statistics with Microsoft Excel software, obtaining averages and absolute and relative frequencies. A paired data T-test was also used with SPSS STADISTIC software to show whether there was a positive effect on student satisfaction and participation. The effect of the program was evaluated resulting in a significant change in satisfaction and participation, on average, there was a change from 2.39 to 3.30 approximately in the middle and elementary sublevel students, while in the upper sublevel, the significant differences are very minimal. It can be evidenced that the warm-ups for this sublevel were performed adequately. With the present study, it was possible to conclude that the intervention program regarding warm-up does benefit the teachers in charge of this area, even more so for teachers who are not physical education specialists but who are in charge of teaching this subject.Item Programa de ejercicios para mejorar la eficiencia del gesto técnico de la brazada en el estilo crol, para la selección de triatlón categoría de 10 a 12 años de la Federación Deportiva del Azuay(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-03-31) Arévalo García, Marco Antonio; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe objective of this research is defined in developing an exercise program for the children's triathlon teams, which allows to establish a methodology for the swimming modality, which guarantees the efficiency of the technical gesture of the stroke in the crawl style and to achieve it, they were processed the results in a study sample of 12 triathletes with a minimum experience of one year in swimming, grouped in the categories 10 to 12 years of age, the exercise program is made up of 21 work sessions, with the use of videos and a free software for biomechanical analysis Kinovea, a pre and post test were applied, which allowed through the study of their angles, to establish an average of ranges of objective values in this age category, analyzing the results in the study sample, These were subjected to a process of comparative analysis between the ranges of the angles of the tests before and after applying the exercise program. . The video analysis with biomechanical software, the “Finis Forearm Fulcrum” stroke corrector, the selection program for specific traction exercises, made it possible to identify the triathletes' deficiencies, correct and enhance their technical gesture. According to the analysis of ranges by compliance, positive results were obtained when applying the exercise program, which are summarized: 44% of triathletes reached the optimal angle in the grip phase, 11% of swimmers are within the required angle in the pulling phase and 67% of athletes showed a wide improvement in the pushing phase. It is concluded that the proposed exercise program positively influences the efficiency of the technical gesture of the stroke in the crawl style, in the triathlon selection category of 10 to 12 yearsItem Programa de fuerza explosiva aplicado al balonmano en las clases de educación física, para el fortalecimiento del tren inferior y superior, en estudiantes de bachillerato(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-07) Peñafiel Orellana, Camila Estefanía; Zambrano Calle, Richard Rubén; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe present paper implements a program to develop explosive force applied to handball in Physical Education classes; that seeks to contribute to the strengthening of the lower and upper body, in high school students of the "Benigno Malo" school in the city of Cuenca- Ecuador. For the design of the program, information was collected regarding criteria, techniques and tools for the development of explosive force; second, the level of explosive strength of the lower and upper body of the high school students was determined using measurement instruments (the medicine ball throw test and the horizontal jump test without impulse); third, based on the results of the information gathering, the program for the development of the explosive force of the lower and upper body is designed and applied, following a detailed training for the suggested purposes; third, we evaluate the effectiveness of the program considering the pretest and performing a post-test regarding theexplosive force applied to handball. Consequently, we conclude that in order to optimize the possibilities of developing physical capacities (explosive strength in the upper and lower body)in high school students, it is necessary to consider the following: carry out safe training, recognize the relevance between training and the biological age of the athlete, respect the different capacities of the student body for training; in order to ensure the efficient implementation of the designed program.Item Propuesta de actividades en el medio acuático como método para el desarrollo integral de los infantes entre 0 a 12 meses(2016) Icaza Samaniego, Valeria Leonor; Moreno Orellana, Carlos Tomás; Varela Solano, Ramiro XavierThe next project took place in the school's swimming Ivan Enderica over a period of six months, which involved 20 infants ranging in ages 0-12 months, this work will allow us to realize if the application of a program of water activities for their integral development is achieved and support the intellectual, social and motor development of children during this period. This whole program is justified on the basis that has a theoretical value, practical utility, social relevance, for which integration of coexistence between parents and children. The methodology used during the process was through the execution of water activities for the children, observation and test of progress in those areas, a survey of 10 questions direct representatives of children. As well as the results were tabulated in the known programs (Excel) that facilitated the collection of data. Which allowed to reach the following conclusions (a) the effect of the activities had a great impact on the development of children (b) was fulfilled with the proposed individual infants goal which use waterways as a way of stimulation, (C) that parents play a key role in stimulating in their children, the emotional ties that are generated between them. (d) activities implemented will have a positive value for the integral development of children the rest of his life.
