Study habits in university students reflect an evolution from adaptation and exploration in the first cycles of study to a consolidation of strategies and autonomy in more advanced cycles of study. The purpose of this research is to describe the study habits of Psychology students at the University of Cuenca in the period September 2024 and February 2025. Therefore, a quantitative approach will be implemented with a non experimental methodological design of cross-sectional and descriptive scope. The sample will be composed of 200 participants who are psychology students 18 years of age or older, 100 students belonging to the first cycle with a distribution of 50 males and 50 females, as well as 100 students of the ninth cycle with the same distribution. The data will be collected using the psychometric instrument of the Study Habits Inventory (IHE) that was developed by Pozar (1998) and adapted in Mexico (2014) for school and university students in order to provide data about the conditions in which the student performs their tasks and the failures that limit their effectiveness in the study. Data collection will be carried out face-to-face at the university. The expected results will be around the levels of study habits of the participants.
