The purpose of this study of bibliographic review was to analyze the importance of postural hygiene and the realization of active breaks, in addition to supporting the theoretical elements that speak about active breaks and skeletal muscle disorders in workers both in the administrative area and in work that require physical strength, the publications were systematically searched in different databases, without restriction of language in the vast majority from the year 2010, applying selection criteria which were previously established, a total of 11 articles were chosen. The results of the analysis of these articles show that active pauses have positive effects on skeletal muscles disorders (MSD), relieving pain and discomfort in the main areas such as shoulders, neck and back, although there was also a discrepancy compared to articles. who mention that after a few months there were no positive effects and even some participants had a regression of these benefits despite continuing with active breaks, this is attributed to the fact that the same exercises are always repeated over a long period of time. In conclusion, active breaks are beneficial for the prevention of MSDs, but it should be taken into account that the exercises should be varied every 3 months to have long-term results.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-25) Espinoza Robles, Pablo Sebastian; Carchipulla Atariguana, Xavier Enrique; Tacuri Peláez, Elsa Leonor
Pre-sports games are models adapted from sports, since they incorporate some elements, such as specific skills and abilities (Granja & Manosalvas, 2016). At the same time, it is evident that it has effects on students' self-esteem thanks to playful elements (Arruza et al., 2004). And it also brings with it positive effects on physical condition, such as aerobic resistance, strength, coordination. For this reason, the objective of this project was: to analyze the importance of compulsory courses and the effect of a pre-sport game program on self-esteem and physical condition (CF) of students of compulsory swimming courses at the University of Cuenca. A quasi-experimental, quantitative, cross-sectional design without a control group was applied. The application of the games was carried out twice a week, with a duration of two hours each session during a period of four months. To measure the self-esteem of the students, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (EAR) test was applied, for which two specific moments were taken, the first moment was carried out prior to the application of the program and the second moment was taken at the end of the program. . the program. For the evaluation of the physical condition, the measurement test of the Eurofit Battery was used and in the same way it was applied before and after completing the program. With the results obtained, we were able to verify that the levels of physical condition had a significant change, as well as the level of self-esteem where 95% of the participants demonstrated a level of self-esteem between medium and high, thus leaving 5% at a low level. , being these data obtained in the post test. In this way we can verify the relevance of this type of activities and programs of pre-sports games for sport and those psychological aspects such as fear or failure.

The absence of a physical preparation process in the field of dance is one of the greatest deficiencies that occur in dancers. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of a floor gymnastics and physical training program on physical abilities (strength and flexibility) in hip-hop dancers from the Danzare school. The research design was experimental, and the sample consisted of 30 dancers between the ages of 10 and 18, from the Danzare dance school in the city of Cuenca. In the first phase, strength and flexibility levels were measured, focusing on upper extremities, lower extremities and trunk. Subsequently, a second intervention phase was carried out consisting of a) a physical conditioning process for two weeks, and b) a gymnastics program for 6 weeks. Finally, in the third phase, the levels of strength and flexibility are measured again, to observe if there were changes in their capacities, and a correct execution of the gymnastic elements. The results obtained were favorable, since a great difference was obtained in the strength and flexibility capabilities, between the pre-test and post-test, which was assessed by analyzing the data from the physical tests performed. In all test data, a bilateral significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.001) was obtained, which means that the applied gymnastics program had a positive effect. Finally, the execution of the gymnastic elements was evaluated through a checklist, verifying who could perform them. It was obtained that over 20 participants managed to execute all the techniques correctly.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-23) Guzmán Cabrera, Pablo Israel; Pinguil Morocho, Manuel Neptalí; Tacuri Peláez, Elsa Leonor
Currently, one of the main problems in young people is the low physical condition and lack of motivation of students during Physical Education classes. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to implement a beach handball program to improve the physical condition and the motivation to practice this sport of first year high school students of the Camilo Gallegos Domínguez School. The study used was a quasi-experimental study of correlational-causal type, in which 60 students between 15-16 years of age participated, forming two groups: the control group (29 students) and the experimental group (31 students). Physical condition was evaluated by means of the Eurofit battery, while motivation was evaluated by means of the Motivation Questionnaire in Physical Education (CMEF). The intervention program consisted of carrying out Physical Education classes based on the teaching of the basic aspects of beach handball through activities that work on the different physical capacities. The results showed that after the intervention, 7 of the 8 tests of the Eurofit battery improved significantly in the intervention group; while, in terms of motivation, the results showed that there was a significant improvement in intrinsic motivation and a slight improvement in extrinsic motivation. It is concluded that the application of handball as an alternative sport during Physical Education classes is quite effective in improving the physical condition and motivation of high school students.

This research work is a literature review that aims to identify the benefits of recreational dance in older adults and its influence on self-esteem and depression. For the selection of articles, four digital databases were used, and studies in Spanish, English and Portuguese that had been carried out since 2005 on adults over 60 years of age were searched. A total of 11 scientific papers were selected on the basis of the established selection criteria. The results obtained in this literature review indicated that dance is a viable treatment option to improve self-esteem and reduce depression in older adults, and also has other benefits in improving the health of older adults. However, some studies showed little improvement in depressive symptoms, which may be associated with sample size. In conclusion, a controlled and systematized dance intervention that includes trained personnel with adequate dance training can positively influence older adults with depressive symptoms and low self-esteem, and can also contribute to physical improvements, so this type of activity is of great importance in the health of older adults.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-01-04) Naula Chimbo, Johny Segundo; Tacuri Peláez, Elsa Leonor
The present degree work called "IMPLEMENTATION OF A PHYSICAL EXERCISE PROGRAM TO IMPROVE THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOTOR SKILLS AND PHYSICAL CONDITION IN CHILDREN IN CONFINEMENT" has the objective to implement a program of exercises directed at the development of motor skills and physical condition in children during confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The present study of type quasi- experimental it had the first stage, with the evaluation of motor skills and physical condition through a pretest, addressed to children from six to ten years old belonging to six different families; This intervention was carried out virtually two days a week with a duration of sixty minutes and for a period of three months, with scheduled activities emphasizing the deficiencies detected in the pretest; subsequently the post-test was developed, finally a comparative analysis between the pre-test and post-test was carried out. The results obtained in the pretest of basic motor skills were 73.33%, which corresponds to the general average; while the general average of the basic motor skills of the post-test amounted to 83.15%, with regard to physical capacities, significant improvements were evidenced in the musculoskeletal capacity of the lower body, motor capacity and aerobic capacity of children who were study participants. In conclusion, a program of physical exercises aimed at working on motor skills and physical condition in children in confinement is even more effective if it is developed in a systematic and orderly manner based on the results of a pretest. Finally, it is recommended to implement a program of physical exercises with greater duration and weekly frequency.

The development of general coordination in the first years of life constitutes a fundamental pillar for an adequate motor development in later childhood. However, this area is often underestimated in the school environment, especially in public institutions, where teachers, addressing multiple areas of knowledge, often lack specialized training in motor development. In view of this problem, the present study aimed to analyze the impact of a program based on traditional games to improve general coordination in preschool children at the “Antonio Borrero” Early Education Center. The research adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research included 39 students divided into two groups: an experimental group made up of 21 children from classroom “B”, and a control group made up of 18 children from classroom “D”. The results showed a significant impact in the experimental group, where an improvement was observed in the average scores from pretest to posttest. In the case of men, average scores increased from 38 to 42.8, while in women they increased from 41 to 48.7. To analyze differences within and between groups, nonparametric tests were used, specifically the Wilcoxon test for related samples and the Mann-Whitney U test to compare changes between the experimental and control groups. These findings confirm the efficacy of traditional games as a pedagogical tool to enhance motor coordination in the preschool stage.

Demotivation is associated with school failure; an unmotivated student loses the desire to learn and meet their goals. For this reason, the intention of our project is to be able to analyze the different problems of motivation and demotivation (institution materials and lack of teacher preparation) in 30 students aged 9-12 from the Basic Middle School Sublevel of the Mixed Fiscal School. Ramón Borrero in Physical Education (PE) classes, this institution currently does not have a PE teacher. For this reason, surveys (PACSQ and CAEF) were applied to seek answers about the influence of the lack of materials and teacher preparation in the PE area. Then a Didactic Unit was intervened that lasted 7 weeks, 2 days a week of 40 minutes each class, based on basic fundamentals of soccer and basketball, later the effect of said program was evaluated by applying the same surveys. The results obtained were: 80% of the students were fully satisfied with the teacher's preparation in PE classes and 93% of students were motivated in PE classes by the materials used. It is recommended that all educational institutions should have a specialized PE teacher since this subject contributes to the motor, physical, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual development of students

This research project is a bibliographic review whose objective was to review and analyze relevant information about self-determined motivation and how the teacher influences it for the practice of physical activity in school adolescents from 10 to 16 years of age. For which a total of 19 scientific articles were accumulated. To select the articles, I used eleven digital bases applying specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Hence, the results found, pointed out that the teacher influence in self-determined motivation is one of the main theories studied in the educational and sports context. Furthermore, it is positive into the internal facts in function of the basic psychological needs and the sort of behavior regulation to determine the type of motivation and to achieve the highest level of self- determined motivation in children and teenagers. However, some practices and mistaken methodologies tend to frustrate the basic psychological needs specially in these ages provoking rejection, physical practice neglect and demotivation. In light of these facts, it was evidenced that motivational teaching intervention strategies influence positively in the self-determined students’ behavior and the importance of the teacher guidance and presence in during the PS classes to the acquisition of active and healthy life habits.
