    Prácticas educativas y el desarrollo de la autonomía en niños de 3 a 5 años

    This monographic work entitled educational practices and the development of autonomy in children from 3 to 5 years old, aims to establish theoretical foundations and investigate the importance and relationship between educational practices and the development of autonomy in early childhood, through empirical input. Its general objective is to understand how educational practices influence the development of autonomy in children from 3 to 5 years old. This research was approached from a qualitative approach, with an exploratory descriptive scope and was based on two main categories: educational practices and autonomy development. In addition, for the collection of information, the following strategies were used: the bibliographic review and the implementation of semi-structured interviews with twelve teachers of Initial and High School Education of public and private institutions in the city of Cuenca. After the bibliographic review and the processing of the information obtained through the interviews, the following results were obtained: educational practices are essential to promote autonomy in infants, the importance of the role of parents or caregivers during this process, educational strategies and practices that teachers use inside or outside the classroom, the value of motivation during the development of autonomy and finally the factors that affect this process
