    App turística del complejo arqueológico de Ingapirca

    This project aims to present a design of a tourist application to the archaeological complex of Ingapirca, in which the historic value of the site shown, the elements that comprise it, the celebrations are traditional culture in the course cañari of each year; as well as some alternatives for lodging and meals offered by this tourist spot. To accomplish the above, we proceeded to make the collection of information from the complex, archaeological components as Pilaloma, Sun Temple, La Condamine and the trough, the Ingachungana, La Tortuga, El Intihuayco, La Cara del Inca, the Spanish Steps Ravine, and the characteristics of each of them ,; history obtained bibliographic and documentary sources, the traditions of their culture and the iconographic elements representative, this information to produce a multimedia product for mobile devices with Android system. The iconographic elements allow us to develop the graphic line for implementation. In this sense we can offer to domestic and foreign tourists a multimedia product to provide full details of the archaeological site being analyzed, thus improving the promotion of the site and its tourist influx

    Campaña publicitaria de sensibilización sobre la violencia de género hacia la mujer en la ciudad de Cuenca

    This work develops the creation of the advertising campaign "Despertemos" (Let's wake up), on gender violence against women in the city of Cuenca (VCM), in order to give the community a message of reflection using graphic pieces with a different proposal, in which shapes and colors play an important role. For this, a previous bibliographic search was carried out and the characteristics and modes of violence of which they are victims were analyzed. At the same time, we established the graphic line, that characterizes the campaign. In short, "Let's wake up" takes a social problem and integrates graphic design and illustration to pay tribute to the victims of gender violence.

    Campos laborales para artistas gráficos de Ecuador: prototipo web creativa e interactiva

    The development of this thesis is based on an investigation for Ecuadorian illustrators and graphic artists to find the present difficulties, and job opportunities. From the field study, recording aesthetic references to create a website prototype that displays the work of illustrators of the country and serves as a connection between the Ecuadorian illustrators and companies or customers who wish to hire their services. It performed a study field of current jobs of the illustrators in Ecuador, it was drawn to youth and business surveys, this way was determined the requirements should have the website prototype, I proceeded to do an analysis of counterparts to reach a sketching and Web prototype illustration as a result we obtained a CD containing each prototype internal Web page

    Concept Art de personajes para un videojuego en base a la cultura precolombina ecuatoriana para revalorizar la identidad cultural local

    This curricular integration project consisted of the creation of concept art of characters and environments for a video game inspired by the pre-Columbian cultures of Ecuador, in order to revalue the local cultural identity among young people between 16 and 20 years old. During the development of the project, surveys were conducted and an iterative design method was used, which included cultural research, sketching of silhouettes, presentation of proposals with their respective validation and final results. The process focused on the creation of four main characters (Yana, Kantu, Karunki and Raykint), each symbolizing a particular culture: Tsáchila, Kañari, Shuar and Otavalo. In addition, four symbolic environments were created: The Cave of the Spirits, the Water Temple, the Deep Jungle and the Sleeping Volcano, incorporating unique cultural and narrative components. The project stands out for its focus on visual narrative, the presentation of different proposals throughout the development of the concepts and the positive impact on the preservation and dissemination of Ecuadorian cultural wealth.

    The development of this project focuses on designing interactive posters with augmented reality which will contribute as a tool for the dissemination of the urban architecture of the city of Cuenca. With the aim of contributing to the tourism sector of the city and encouraging the study of the most relevant buildings. In this project we apply the methodology of Ambrose and Harris which thanks to its seven stages leads us to define and establish the problem, collect information to nurture the subject, create possible solutions which will lead us to propose prototypes and then make a selection of them and reach the implementation stage, which will be validated through comments and recommendations from users.

    Diseño de interfaz de un juego móvil para el desarrollo de habilidades lógicas, comunicativas y de motricidad en niños de 8 a 12 años con autismo

    In schools for students with special needs, students with autism have difficulty learning because they lack attention and motivation. Traditional teaching methods don’t have the same effect, so teachers use alternative strategies in order to connect with them. Additionally, students need to be able to practice the things they have learned at home with help from their families. The objective of this project is to utilize teaching strategies and technology to reinforce students’ knowledge in a fun way. Therefore, the goal is to create a learning app for smart devices made up of learning activities taken from schoolbooks. The project will allow for personalization of the app to establish a motivational link, so that students can learn in a fun and dynamic way.

    Diseño de interfaz de una aplicación móvil educativa sobre el cuidado de mascotas para niños de 8 a 12 años de edad

    In today's society, domestic animals have acquired a significant role, being much more than simple companions, as they contribute certain physical and emotional benefits. Taking care of these pets involves a series of responsibilities that go beyond providing them with companionship, becoming a fundamental task in many households. In this context, this project aimed to develop a mobile application based on Jesse James Garrett's methodology, structured in five phases: strategy, scope, structure, skeleton, and surface. The application is specifically geared towards children who have a pet and a mobile device but are unaware of the proper care these animals require. The main objective of the application is to provide essential information for the proper care and upbringing of pets. Various tools have been integrated, containing crucial data about the needs of domestic animals, thus offering users valuable resources to become responsible caregivers. The application positions itself as a comprehensive educational resource that not only seeks to inform but also to raise awareness in the population. It focuses especially on children, who often lack knowledge about the importance of animal care. Through this initiative, the goal is to sensitize and educate new generations, promoting responsible practices and fostering the well-being of domestic animals in households.

    Diseño de interfaz de una aplicación móvil para simplificar y optimizar los procesos de revisión técnica vehicular de Cuenca

    This curricular integration work, is a proposal that seeks to improve and digitize the processes related to the RTV through the design of a graphical, intuitive and functional interface. This application is designed to make it easier for users to perform tasks such as paying the RTV, scheduling appointments, checking the status of procedures and accessing the revision history. The project started with the collection of information to identify the main problems faced by users during the RTV process, followed by a peer analysis and bibliographic research related to interface design, user experience and vehicle processes. The methodology used was based on the structure proposed by Garrett in his book “The Elements of User Experience”. In addition, techniques such as moodboards, card sorting, information architecture and interactive prototyping were complemented, following the recommendations of User Interface Design and Evaluation (Hassam, Y.). The final result, supported by the previous research and added to the knowledge acquired in the Graphic Design career, consisted in the development of a high fidelity prototype that offers an integral digital solution. This design not only improves the user experience by making it more fluid and pleasant, but also significantly reduces the time and effort required to perform vehicle procedures.

    Diseño de interfaz de una aplicación móvil, para el tratamiento de PEVC (pie equino varo congénito) a través del método Ponsetí

    For the development of this degree project, it is intended to streamline existing tools and information through the Ponsetí prototype, a mobile app for the rehabilitation process in babies diagnosed with Club Foot. The theoretical framework was developed by collecting information contained in bibliographic material regarding the Ponsetí method, also, interviews were conducted with specialists such as: traumatologists, pediatricians and parents, main users for this app. Then, with the chosen methodology of J.J. Garret proceeds to the development of this project with the intention of improving the user experience of the Ponsetí method by designing the graphical interface of a mobile app for the process.

    Diseño de interfaz gráfica de una aplicación móvil para conocer rutas alternas y rápidas para evitar el tráfico en la ciudad de Cuenca

    The present degree work, "Interface design of a mobile application to know alternative and fast routes to avoid traffic in the city of Cuenca," is a proposal that, through the design, the graphic interface of a mobile application was developed to know alternative routes to avoid traffic. It uses roads that are not frequently used by users while maintaining a higher volume of vehicle traffic. Information was collected on the biggest inconveniences that users have in traffic and parking situations in some areas of the city of Cuenca. After conducting the peer review, we moved on to the bibliographic research section covering parking, traffic, graphic design, and the various phases that the application's graphical interface was created for. The final product added to the knowledge gained during the graphic design career by utilizing the methodology of the elements of Garret's user experience, which have been implemented by several designers to understand the interaction and how to make a graphical interface, along with the prior bibliographic research. The prototype and design of the interface were carried out to provide information on alternative routes and parking lots in the city of Cuenca, collecting aspects such as traffic locations, radars, traffic lights, road damage, traffic agents, parking availability, times, and rates.

    A large number of people tend to have an early frustration in the artistic area when performing an event does not exist the desired reception, although the advertising of the event has been handled in the best way. Similarly, rural festivals, rich in cultural traditions are disappearing because of the lack of publicity in their events. People in today’s social networks are closed in social circles, so the scope of an event is not so massive. Therefore, with this digital platform we will create a new space to publicize the events of the city, where the user experience with graphic design will make much emphasis for people to find events, as well as to know events of their interest, leaving aside The vague excuse of not knowing where to find them when they leave.

    Diseño de la interfaz de un videojuego para móviles como herramienta de conservación de leyendas cuencanas en jóvenes de 14 a 17 años

    The purpose of this curricular integration work is the creation and prototyping of the graphic interface of a video game, which takes as the basis of its construction the narrative of a legend from Cuenca called "The Chained Dog", this with the objective of preserving its story and transmit them to the target audience in a different way than the traditional one, thanks to the fact that video games today constitute an expression of interactive digital culture, in addition to emerging as an important means of transmitting audiovisual narratives. For (Villa, Perez, Moya et al., 2015) the development process of a video game can be divided into three important stages, pre-production, production and post-production. This project focuses on monitoring the first and a small part of the second, due to its purpose, which is to offer a prototype of the graphic interface of a video game, and build an artistic, narrative and interactivity concept behind it. So that its purpose of creation is understandable.

    The present degree work called: "Design of the graphical interface of an application for mobile devices, on the gastronomic gaps of the historic center of the city of Cuenca" is a proposal that through the design will develop a graphical interface that shows the different Gastronomic places called hollows located in the historic center of the city, thus promoting tourism within the city as well as for local and foreign people. A survey of information was carried out on the location of the different holes in the historic center of Cuenca, several homologues were analyzed and bibliographic material related to gastronomy, graphic design, and the different stages that must be carried out for the realization of the graphical interface. Resulting, through this bibliographic research and using the elements of Garrett's user experience, which has been used by several programmers and designers for the realization of the interface and the interaction it has with the user, added to the knowledge acquired during the race, the prototype and was generated a graphical interface that shows the different gastronomic gaps in the historic center of Cuenca, giving us more detailed information about these places along with the services that each one of them has available, thus helping both local and local users. from outside to have a better experience when walking the streets and different tourist spots of the city.

    Diseño de la interfaz gráfica para una aplicación móvil que muestra las principales edificaciones arquitectónicas del Centro Histórico de la ciudad de Cuenca

    The present degree work is a proposal that through design develops a graphic interface that shows the different Republican Architectural Constructions of the Historic Center of Cuenca, giving to know more about the city of Cuenca, and giving them a new experience of visit and tourism. This thesis is divided into three chapters, which cover the analysis, field research, design and prototyping of the application. A research on the existing republican architectural buildings in the city of Cuenca is developed, because Cuenca, being a World Heritage City, is a tourist attraction at national and international level, therefore, it requires to innovate the way of showing its tourist information, helping the less appreciated buildings to be visited. A prototype was generated and the graphic interface for mobile devices was designed considering the needs of the users based on the James Garret methodology, using the five plans of Jesse James Garret as a basis for the realization of the graphic interface. Finally, through bibliographic research, Garret's methodology and the knowledge acquired during the course, a graphic interface was developed that shows the different republican architectural constructions of the historic center of Cuenca, showing its history, relevant data and a list of architectural constructions, this will help locals and tourists to have a better tourist experience in the city of Cuenca.

    Diseño de un Juego de Mesa Influenciado en el Ritual de Iniciación de la Civilización Andina Precolombina Chavín

    The design and art direction of a board game influenced by the initiation ritual of the Andean Pre-Columbian Chavín civilization is based on the advanced methodological and technological proposal. There are also two important stages: on the one hand, the design and direction as the organizational part or strategic planning for the creation of the game mechanics, in accordance and focused on the objectives of the player's experience with the proper completion of a structural document to determine what is the game to play; and on the other, the development of the game is to specify and make the game designed by the personal or multidisciplinary work team. The demo version of this master degree work is used to test and draw conclusions about the mechanics of the game for the purposes of the player's experience.

    Cuenca is a city which have a lot of animal protection organizations. However, the problem about homeless animals is too evident. It is because citizens don´t have enough information to support them. The main goal in this project is to connect people with these foundations. For this reason, a design of a movil application is developed. This app works as a social network for teenagers and adult’s population. It is to create a conscious community about responsible owners taking care of their pets.

    The purpose of this work is to reveal the stories of yesteryear from the city of Pasaje de las Nieves in the province of El Oro, Ecuador. This document records the process carried out according to the methodology proposed by Chantal Tae López (2020) and Liz Blazer (2016). López guides us in the development of characters and their anatomical form to adapt to the needs of the product. On the other hand, Liz Blazer instructs us on how to correctly carry out the process of creating an audiovisual piece, from script development to the feedback that should be received.

    Digital animation in Ecuador is a low development field without any presence in the national and international level due to the very low production in the country and the little support from public and private institutions. As a solution to this issue, a digital platform is proposed, which works as a showcase for professional creatives and students of the country, where they can show their talent and work, connect with other creatives and mainly allow them to finance their projects or connect with companies and other workspaces To create this space is proposed to use the Jesse James Garret’s methodology and other web design tools.
