Item Características familiares que influyen para el acogimiento institucional de los niños, niñas y adolescentes(2016) Salinas Quituisaca, Alicia Andrea; Sánchez Loja, Wilson FernandoABSTRACT This work focuses on conceptualizing the process of Children and Adolescents in institutional care, where is talk about different aspects as: the situation of children and adolescents against the violation of rights, family types, family characteristics that are identified in institutional care, the role of the community against this situation and the intervention of the Social Worker. Before the manifestation of any situation in which the rights of children and adolescents being affected, the authorities are compelled to issue a transitional measure, while determining an appropriate mode for maintenance for the child or adolescent, and this are remain in a house first reception. For the execution of the alternative form of care the competent authority shall designate the technical team that will be responsible for conducting investigations and monitoring necessary to corroborate the situation of the child or adolescent. In the development of this worked, three case studies, where you can determine the risk factors that often occur in the family or community of children and adolescents in institutional care.Item Modalidades alternativas de acogimiento de niños, niñas y adolescentes en el contexto ecuatoriano(2017) Sánchez Loja, Wilson FernandoThe institutional reception of children and adolescents, in many countries and especially Ecuador, is a legal, temporary and transitory protection measure that seeks the guarantee of rights; however, it becomes a measure that violates rights, due to the prolonged per-manence in institutions, in the so-called “shelters”. This measure, in most cases, does not address aspects of origin or origin of the child and adolescent such as: age, gender, culture, language, among others; being located in foster homes that do not respond to the superior interest or specificity of the subject. In Ecuador, the legal measure with the greatest application is institutional care.
