Learners' low motivation affects the creation of different disadvantaged attitudes on Physical Education. For this reason, a purpose came up to evaluate the effects of a proposal of gamified games to improve the degree of motivation according to the basic psychological needs of tenth-grade students during Physical Education classes. A quantitative approach was used, employing a quasi-experimental design with 66 tenth-grade students from República del Ecuador High School. These students were divided into control and experimental groups. The Basic Psychological Needs (BPNS) and a 16-session intervention program were carried out. The results revealed an increase in the motivation of the students of the experimental group in the post-test, as well as a significant difference in the variables of autonomy, competence, and relationship with others between the female and male participants. It concludes with the relevance of using gamification to address the student's psychological well-being and strengthen collaborative work.
