(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-19) Guapisaca Barbecho, María Fernanda; Quezada Granda, Leslie Alexandra; Jerves Mora, Rodrigo Saúl
This project will analyze the current state of the Organizational Climate and the possible manifestation of Burnout Syndrome in the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of Cuenca. In order to develop the degree work, a mixed methodology that includes both descriptive-quantitative and descriptive-qualitative approaches will be used. Regarding the qualitative methodology, a literature review will be conducted to understand the current state and conditions of the organizational climate at the Latin American, national and local levels, in order to identify positive and negative factors, as well as to investigate studies on Burnout Syndrome in higher education institutions and its impact on each of the members of the administrative and teaching staff of these institutions. On the other hand, the quantitative methodology will involve the structuring of surveys that evaluate the factors of the Organizational Climate within the Faculty, with the objective of collecting data that will allow proposing improvements aimed at strengthening those factors that can be considered as critical after the analysis of the results. Improvement strategies will be proposed that will help the Faculty of Chemical Sciences to create and maintain an Organizational Climate in which the administrative and teaching staff feel comfortable and perform their functions efficiently, also increasing the level of student satisfaction. The scope of research will include the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of Cuenca, which includes the careers of Biochemistry and Pharmacy, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering, covering the administrative, teaching and cleaning staff of the faculty.
