Pedalear sin fatigarse: análisis de infraestructura ciclística urbana basado en la energía de pedaleo
(2019) Orellana Vintimilla, Daniel Augusto; Martinez Pesantez, Ivanna Lisseth; Pulla Tenemaza, Paul Esteban; Tapia Sisalima, Daniel Andres
One of the strategies for promoting the bicycle as a means of urban transport it is the design and implementation of the necessary infrastructure. This includes cycle paths, bicycle parking lots and vehicle loan systems. The spatial location of these infrastructures is a key aspect to guarantee their success. In this article we propose the expansion of a method of analysis of cycling infrastructure based in the pedaling effort that takes into account the speed, the slope of the terrain, the intersections and the running surface to calculate the energy required for the displacement. In addition, we present an information systems analysis tool geographic that allows, from free data, to model the service level of the stations to loan bicycles, determine the optimal routes to form a network of bicycle paths and optimize the location of loan stations using network analysis and location-allocation algorithms. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the method for support decision-making on urban cycling infrastructure.
