The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of shrimp companies on the Ecuadorian economy through three approaches: Economic Growth, Employment and Corporate Social Responsibility, in addition to implementing a descriptive analysis of the main characteristics of those companies. It should be noted that the data were obtained from the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance, through ISIC Code: A0321.02 within the period 2012 - 2020. Additionally, the study has a descriptive, non-experimental and longitudinal quantitative approach, which has National GDP and number of employees as dependent variables. Finally, as main results, it was determined that both exports and sales revenues of shrimp farms contribute positively and directly to employment, as well as to the National GDP, thus, there is a great contribution by this sector to generate jobs and increase the country's economy. In terms of Corporate Social Responsibility, it was found that there are shrimp companies that are concerned about the welfare of the community and the environment, which has led them to create different projects or programs that help vulnerable groups and the ecosystem.
