This synchronous study will be conducted within the framework of the research project “Configuraciones culturales e identitarias de los jóvenes de la zona urbana del cantón Cuenca: Una mirada sociolingüística”.Item Presencia de quichuismos en la jerga juvenil de Cuenca, Ecuador(2020) Novillo Verdugo, Miguel Ángel; Villavicencio Quinde, Manuel Gonzalo; Pacheco Orellana, Gladys RaquelAbstract This research work analyzes the lexical-semantic procedures in juvenile jargon, as well as the areas of generational (in) communication. Through this academic study, it is intended to show and rescue the Quichua terms in the daily communication of the young people from Cuenca, describing its lexical-semantic origin for the etymological knowledge and its resignifications in the current jargon linguistic repertoire. The results suggest semantic changes from rhetorical figures, wich means the Quichuisms are present in youth jargon and bring about a contemporary intercultural connection.
