Item Análisis comparativo de talleres alfareros México-Ecuador: una mirada etnoarqueológica(2019) Novillo Verdugo, Miguel Ángel; Llinás Zambrano, Julián Eduardo; Ortiz Naranjo, Jorge FernandoItem Patrimonio y educación: la reserva arqueológica del convento San Francisco de Azogues(2020) Novillo Verdugo, Miguel Ángel; Ortiz Naranjo, Jorge FernandoThis article is a result of an investigative project of great undertaking, which has studied the archaeological reserves of the Franciscan convent of the city of Azogues, Ecuador. This institution possesses great diversity of archaeological artifacts considered Ecuadorian heritage objects. However, nowadays, the state and condition that the objects are in make them prone to deterioration. Furthermore, the lack of awareness towards these artifacts are indicative of the importance of the heritage in the region, which promotes loss of traditional practices as well as identification and relevance towards its own history. Considering these problems, an interdisciplinary work was articulated, which allowed a spread in knowledge towards archaeological heritage from three different scopes; educational, political, and a general awareness, under the premise of appropriation and identification towards these artifactsItem Una mirada arqueológica de la parroquia Turi-Cerro de Monjas(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-05-31) Ortiz Naranjo, Jorge Fernando; Llinás Zambrano, Julián Eduardo; Novillo Verdugo, Miguel ÁngelThis work focuses on the archaeological exploration of the Turi parish of the city of Cuenca, with emphasis on the archaeological site called Cerro de Monjas, since for a long time it has had several interpretations, most of which have not been supported by the archaeological data. In this sense, a proper use and functionality of this site is unknown. The objective was to analyze, based on archaeological, anthropological and historical data, the different settlements that have been generated on this site. Therefore, this research was carried out with the archaeological method, where surface exploration of the entire terrain was carried out that allowed the recognition of materials on the surface and its subsequent analysis. The use of the documentary method was also developed, with which primary and secondary sources were reviewed, analyzed and verified. Finally, the ethnographic method was applied, with interviews with people living near the archaeological site. This research, in general terms, recognizes areas with material evidence, which through the analyses were referred to the period Tacalshapa, within the period of Regional Development; in addition, delimiting the archaeological site and publicizing specific places of interest for future research
