A Novel Multi-Area Distribution State Estimation Approach with Nodal Redundancy
    (2023) Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando
State estimators based on load flows and applied in electrical power systems (EPS) are a basic and crucial function in energy management systems (EMS), since they must guarantee the quality of their results for decision-making. In this research, we propose a new method for partitioning an electrical system within distributed estimation processes. This method is developed under the concept of nodal redundancy and considers the number of measurements associated with each bus of the electrical system. By distributing the measurements in subsystems, such that each redundancy is evenly distributed, the proposed method aims to improve the performance of both centralized and distributed estimation techniques developed in the literature. We evaluate the proposed method by using the IEEE 14-bus and IEEE 118-bus systems, considering several operating cases and a wide array of measurements of the electrical power system. Results demonstrate the quality of the estimate and the processing time for both traditional and distributed estimates under the proposed methodology.

In this paper, we first use the Altman model to classify clients according to their risk zone, in the first place, Altman model to classify customers according to the risk zone in which they are located. Then, expected credit losses are calculated using the Logit and Markov Chains models. Finally, a comparative analysis of the results with the expected credit loss of the company and the one indicated by the Internal Tax Regime Law, LRTI, is carried out. It is concluded that the percentage used for the measurement of expected credit losses of unrelated trade receivables of Quimicalzen should be higher, according to the models applied.

The present titling work is aimed at providing a solution to the problem currently presented by Recor Dental and Quimedic S.A. In the logistics of inventories, it is important to recognize that the basis of all business is to generate wealth and that this is a function of sales and therefore on the basis of inventory, mismanagement of it generates an erroneous financial projection, ie if not We have a good inventory management the company does not generate wealth, so we implemented the ABC analysis with this inventory were categorized in such a way that we can concentrate the attention on the products that generate greater profitability for the organization, Can carry out a more detailed maintenance to all equipment of the Riester line and thus make it effective. After having performed the financial analysis it can be suggested that the company should stop ordering in an empirical way and based on a sales budget and in the calculation of the EOQ for each one of the items, so that this is optimized Income, taxes and insurance, minimizing the loss of the dead inventory by ordering the merchandise that is actually going to be sold, in order to meet the needs of the demand, without generating higher expenses

Diseño de un sistema de gestión para la optimización de inventarios de la Importadora Cumpleaños Palacios Cordero Cía. Lda. Período 2021
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-05-08) Otorongo Merchán, Julio César; Sarango Sarango, Susana Elizabeth; Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando
With the purpose of designing a management system for the optimization of inventories in Importadora Cumpleaños Palacios Cordero Cía. Lda., this work reflects the result of classifying the inventory using the ABC method, the analysis and forecast of the demand, the calculation of the quantity to order and the management strategies that can optimize the inventories. The methodology used mainly assumed a descriptive-explanatory approach, which includes documentary review and field study. Additionally, the R program was used for the demand forecast. In the results obtained, a 20-60 proportion stands out in the classification of inventories with the ABC method, that is, 20% of the product covers 60% of the value of inventories. In addition, strategies to manage information, make decisions and track inventory prevail.

Distributed State Estimation Through Nodal Redundancy in EPS
(IEEE, 2024) Torres Contreras, Santiago Patricio; Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando; Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando
This research work proposes a robust methodology for partitioning electrical systems within the distributed estimation framework, using the principle of nodal redundancy. The approach employs measurements from the electrical system’s nodes. This method’s application involves a comparative analysis between centralized estimation and the proposed technique, using the IEEE 14-bus system as the benchmark. The findings underscore the efficacy of the quality of the estimation and the computational efficiency achieved through this novel methodology.

Modelo de negocios para la empresa comercial e industrial del austro Incodisa Cia. Ltda. En el período 2019-2023
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-10-22) Guerrero Gordillo, Johmara Michelle; Uruchima Ramón, Edgar Paul; Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando
This paper was developed for COMERCIAL E INDUSTRIAL DEL AUSTRO INCODISA S.A., a company from Cuenca-Ecuador, which has been in the market for 39 years. The company’s main activity is to manufacture and distribute pharmaceutical and antiseptic supplies with the purpose of offering a competitive value to foster an improved operation system. Three steps were taken to build the model. First, an examination of the current situation in order to determine opportunities within the system to further generate a chain value, which will allow the identification of strengths and weaknesses. Second, the development of a study based on a strategic management model and the CANVAS methodology. For this, it was necessary to analyze the macro- and micro-environments of the company. Additionally, an analysis of the economic and financial state of the company was carried out using a balanced scorecard, which translated strategies into objectives through indicators that were linked to action plans. Lastly, an assessment of the model’s impact and risks is presented together with possible solutions that could support the model’s execution.

The Efficiency of the Kalman Filter in Nodal Redundancy
    (2024) Moyano Bojorque, Henrry Fernando
The growing integration of distributed energy resources underscores the critical importance of having precise insights into the dynamics of an electrical power system (EPS). Consequently, an estimator must align with the EPS dynamics to enhance the overall reliability, safety, and system stability. This alignment ensures that operators can make informed decisions during system operations. An initial step in gaining insight into the system’s state involves examining its state vector, which is represented by voltage phasors. These results are derived through the application of a distributed state-estimation process in large-scale systems. This study delved into the effectiveness of Bayesian filters, with a particular emphasis on the extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm in the context of distributed state estimation. To analyze the outcomes, the nodal partitioning process was incorporated within the distributed state-estimation framework. The synergy between the EKF algorithm and the partitioning method was evaluated using the IEEE118 test system.
