Efectos de la ansiedad precompetitiva y estado de ánimo en judocas. Revisión bibliográfica
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-26) Morocho Morocho, Patricia Alexandra; Jara Bermeo, Johanna Priscila
Precompetitive anxiety and human mood have been studied extensively in sport psychology. However, there is a shortage of studies carried out in combat sports, especially in judo. The objective of this research was to analyze the main bibliographic sources on the profile of human mood and precompetitive anxiety in judo players. It was carried out a systematic analysis of the literature research published in the databases Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc, Scopus, Journal of Sport and Health Research, in digital magazines such as “EF Deportes”, “Revista de Artes Marciales” and “Revista de Psicología Deportiva”. The research criteria were the descriptor “anxiety in judo players”, “human mood in judo players” and its translation into English. 11 scientific articles were collected developed between 2000 and 2019. Different theories were identified that relate precompetitive anxiety to sports performance, as well as the use of the iceberg profile concept to name the optimal human mood of an athlete. Revised articles were grouped into three categories for better understanding, the first corresponding to the definition of precompetitive anxiety, of which two subscales called somatic anxiety and cognitive anxiety are prolonged. The second category that involved the concept of human mood and a third that included all those studies that were carried out using instruments or questionnaires that allowed the measurement of the variables anxiety and human mood. Precompetitive anxiety and human mood are factors that influence sports performance positively or negatively. When the athlete is able to use that anxiety in his favor and achieve favorable results, there is talk of a positive effect on sports performance; usually it occurs with the most experienced athletes. By the count, whether anxiety or human mood negatively influences the athlete causing either negative thoughts or physical signs of anxiety such as sweating, tremors, etc. the effects of these variables on performance will cause a low performance that can even trigger in sports abandonment. Although, everything depends on the form of evaluation (subjective or objective) that is given to performance as well as the ability of the athlete to face these variables either before, during or after a fight or training

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-11) Fernández Pillco, Jessica Gabriela; Vele Curillo, María Gabriela; Jara Bermeo, Johanna Priscila
This research aims to review the literature about active recreation and its effects on intrinsic motivation, socio-affective relationships, and enjoyment. Those effects were evaluated in 9- to 12-year-old scholars. Through preliminary research, the papers for the analysis were found in different databases such as Google Scholar, Sport Discus, Dialnet, Scopus, Springer, Taylor, and Ebsco. Additionally, only articles published between 2007 and 2020 were taken into account so that only 13 of them accomplished the pre-established criteria for this study. Those studies used reconstructed materials, marks on the playground, and divisions separated into areas to play. The studies showed positives outcomes in children’s motivation to do physical activity. In the majority of cases, it was observed a remarkable increment in moderate to vigorous physical activity and vigorous physical activity. Likewise, in children’s socio-affective relationships, the results were positive since conflicts decreased when using the material and space in breaks. Finally, regarding enjoyment, the results were also practical due to the variety of games and activities proposed in recreation. Thus, these outcomes demonstrate the importance of implementing an active recreation program in schools

The first group was conformed with those who have been hospitalized for less than three weeks, and the second one by those who were in the last three weeks prior to finishing the rehabilitation program. Another aim in this investigation was to define if there´s any significant differences between said groups. The total sample consisted of 57 male patients who were in 3 different rehabilitation centers in the city of Cuenca and that were between the ages of 18 and 40 years. The Goldstein Social Skills Checklist was used as the instrument to measure the social skills in the sample, resulting in no significant difference between the two groups. Down Syndrome is a genetic condition that results from a trisomy of par 21 due to an unbalanced translocation of said pair, therefore there is no treatment for this syndrome, however there are certain measures that help improve their quality of life, allowing them to perform both physical and intellectual activities without problem. Since the importance of researching obesity and the health problems caused by lack of physical activity has been evidenced in recent years, including especially young people with Down syndrome, as they are a group of people with permanent special educational needs. For this reason, the objective of this study is to analyze the effects of the implementation of a popular dance program on the physical and anthropometric conditions of young people with Down Syndrome, at the Agustín Cueva Tamariz Special Educational Unit, in the city of Cuenca. Since the execution of a folk dance program helps these people maintain an optimal state of health, performing physical activity through movement and body expression, in this way it is a matter of reducing the levels of sedentary lifestyle and certain diseases associated with their condition. For this reason, an experimental study was carried out, where 21 children and young people, 13 men (41.9%) and 8 women (25.8%) with Down syndrome aged between 12 and 18 years were evaluated through a folk dance program, applying a pre and post program evaluation that allows knowing its anthropometric measures, resistance, strength, reaction capacity and physical condition. For the folk dance program a demonstrative teaching method was used and to obtain the body mass index (BMI), wingspan (EGD), waist circumference (CCi) and hip circumference (CCa) the method described by the World Health Organization (WHO). Therefore, the Harvard test was used as the only instrument, with the purpose of knowing the maximum aerobic capacity and the level of global physical condition of the participants. The materials to identify both the physical effects and the anthropometric variables were a height rod, tape measure, scale and a 38-centimeter bench to collect anthropometric data such as: height, weight, span, waisthip diameter and the application of the test. In this way, the data of the participants could be taken before and after the program

Being that said this context proposes the implementation of a physical-recreational program that seeks as main objective to generation of changes in the physical condition level of children from 10 to 12 years old who belong to the cultural center "Los Eucaliptos". The proposed methodology was a mixed intervention, in which the data collection was proposed at the beginning of the program through the application of the "Alpha fitness" test to identify the physical level of activity in which children are when it comes to jumping, speed and aerobic capacity, to subsequently achieve a positive change with the planned activities. The results were evaluated after the participation in the program through the data collection analysis of the physical capacities proposed by the same test. In addition, the level of satisfaction of the children was measured through the "PACES" instrument that values the level of enjoyment of physical activity. With the application of this project, the aspiration was to promote a healthy lifestyle with activities that prevent diseases such as childhood obesity. The results are shown through tables and graphs where it is observable the increase of the participants‟ physical conditions from the general median that went from low at the beginning of the program to moderate at the end of the same; the level of enjoyment of the activities was satisfactory in the entire sample.
