    Flexibilidad psicológica en estudiantes de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Cuenca, en el período 2024-2025

    Psychological flexibility is defined as the ability to keep in touch with the present and adapt to changing situations, allowing you to respond effectively or with appropriate behavior to those stressful situations. In the university context, students face multiple personal and academic demands, so psychological flexibility is a crucial factor in facing these situations. This study aims to describe the psychological flexibility in students of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Cuenca, taking into account the personal and academic sociodemographic variables. The sample is composed of 130 university students, with a quantitative approach, of non-experimental design, with a cross-sectional and descriptive type. The instrument that was used is the Labor Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (WAAQ) adapted to the university population, and a sociodemographic file developed by the researchers. The results show that students in higher cycles have higher levels of psychological flexibility, while those in the first cycle register lower levels, possibly due to adaptation to the new environment. No significant differences are identified in the levels of flexibility according to sex variable. It is concluded that a level of psychological flexibility high or higher than the midpoint was reflected in the university students of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Cuenca. The results will serve as a basis for future research and practical applications that will strengthen the well-being and performance of students.
