    Análisis correlacional de roles y estereotipos de género en docentes de niños y niñas de 3 a 8 años. Cuenca, 2018

    The role of the teacher in the educational context makes it an entity of fundamental importance in the transfer of the gender perspective to its students in the teaching-learning process. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional investigation, whose general objective was to analyze the correlation of gender roles and stereotypes present in teachers of early, preparatory and basic elementary education of boys and girls from 3 to 8 years of the educational institutions "Gabriel Cevallos García "," Isabel Moscoso Dávila "and" Luis Roberto Bravo "from the city of Cuenca. We worked with a sample of 70 teachers of which more than 70% are women. For the collection of data, a sociodemographic variables file was used and also the instruments "Gender Role Scale" and "Current Gender Stereotype Scale (EGA)" were applied. As a relevant result, it was obtained that teachers of both genders have beliefs related to gender roles that place women in a position of disadvantage and subordination towards men, in addition, both gender roles and gender stereotypes correlate in a statistically significant way with sociodemographic variables
