In this regard, the monograph's objective is to determine the importance of promoting artistic expression within the classrooms of sublevel II to foster the comprehensive development of children aged 3 to 5 years. Thus, this thesis is developed through documentary research with a descriptive-explanatory scope, which allows for the specification of the two study categories, namely artistic expression and comprehensive development. It was evidenced that creative expression and comprehensive development are not isolated branches of learning, as both enhance holistic growth in all areas of education through the experimentation and exploration of various fields of knowledge.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-09-07) Ganan Zaquinaula, Lizbeth Rocio; Rumipulla Puchi, Ana Belén; Chumbi Flores, Boris Aníbal
In the present degree work, music is discussed as a didactic resource for the teaching - learning of mathematics, from a monographic conception supported by the idea that music has benefits at a cognitive, motor and emotional level in the early ages. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to bibliographically determine the importance of implementing music as a didactic resource for the teaching - learning process of mathematics in children of Initial Education, using a qualitative approach through a bibliographic analysis. Likewise, a field work was carried out through a conversation with experts in the musical and mathematical area of the City of Cuenca in order to complement the theory, where the information was analyzed establishing some categories. According to the results obtained through the conversation, it is highlighted that music is a good resource to implement it in the classroom considering each of its components such as rhythm, melody and harmony. In this way, it was concluded that music is a fundamental resource to work with infants, for this reason, it is important that teachers implement dynamic strategies in the area of mathematics so that learning does not become monotonous, considering that the numbers are complex, therefore, mathematical reasoning must be worked on dynamically so that it is strengthened and they can achieve solid learning, which will help them to acquire more complex knowledge at higher levels.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-03) Cárdenas Crespo, Lisseth Estefanía; Encalada Bermeo, Jessica Paola; Chumbi Flores, Boris Aníbal
The present monographic study examines the impact of the involvement of the family and school environment in the formation of reading habits during early childhood, crucial categories for the preparation of competent individuals in society. The development of reading habits and collaboration between home and school are closely interrelated since they contribute significantly to the adequate personal, social and cognitive growth of individuals. This interaction facilitates the exchange of ideas, encourages critical and creative thinking, improves communication, promotes the enjoyment of reading, and strengthens autonomy in various daily situations—fundamental skills for life. In this context, the main purpose of this work is to emphasize the importance of the active participation of parents and educators in the development of reading habits from an early age. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach was employed using descriptive documentary research methods to explore how reading can be promoted in children through the collaboration of these primary actors: family and school. As a result, it is concluded that it is essential to instill reading habits and strategies from an early age to cultivate a love for reading. Furthermore, the need for effective collaboration and communication between parents and educators is highlighted to stimulate children's interest and participation in reading.
