    Valoración económica de la quebrada de Shirincay como un servicio de alcantarillado: caso estudio barrio el Tablón y Virgen de las Nieves de la ciudad de Cuenca año 2017

    It is frequent that the ravines are used as destination of the waste water of the nearby inhabitants and that, despite the contamination in several senses that this implies, due to economic reasons of these families, do not have an adequate sewage infrastructure. This study aims to determine the economic value that the inhabitants of the neighborhoods of Virgen de las Nieves and the Tablón de Miraflores to the Shirincay ravine assign as a sewer service. For this valuation, the contingent valuation method (CVM) is used. The objective of this study is to determine if this value allows to finance the construction of an adequate infrastructure, however, the results showed that the willingness to pay of this population is insufficient to be able to finance such infrastructure suggesting the possibility of a state subsidy.
